Post Ryan Reynolds Reveals that ‘Deadpool 3’ Has Concluded Filming
After a lengthy delay due to last year’s SAG-AFTRA strike, Ryan Reynolds announced on Instagram today that Deadpool 3 has officially wrapped filming.
In a lengthy post, Reynolds thanked the film’s cast and crew, specifically director Shawn Levy, and took a lighthearted shot at Hugh Jackman.
“The suit hides the blood. Also sweat… But today, with ‘Deadpool’ wrapping, it’s mostly tears. A giant and forever thanks to the cast and crew of our film who battled wind, rain, strikes and @thehughjackman all under the stalwart leadership of @slevydirect,” Reynolds wrote on Instagram. “I got to make a movie with my closest pals and that doesn’t happen very often. See ya July 26th… ⚔️🥺⚔️.”

Marvel is Counting on ‘Deadpool 3’
Deadpool 3 is the only Marvel film slated to hit theaters in 2024. Because of this, the studio is counting on Reynolds and Jackman to get the MCU back on track.
The film was initially set to be released on May 3, 2024, but was delayed along with a slew of other Marvel films.
In addition to being Marvel’s only release of 2024, Deadpool 3 will also be the first installment in the franchise produced by Marvel Studios. Outside of the Merc with the Mouth MCU entry, the film will also see the return of Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine.
The Beginning of ‘Avengers: Secret Wars’?
While we do not know the plot of the film yet, Deadpool 3 is expected to expand the multiverse even further and lay the foundation for Avengers: Secret Wars.
Deadpool 3 will hit theaters on July 26, 2024. As a Marvel fan, I can’t wait!
