You Absolutely HAVE to Try This Cake at EPCOT’s Festival of the Arts
Happy first day of the 2024 EPCOT Festival of the Arts! This is the festival all about artistic endeavors like creative cuisine and immersive artwork.
And it’s time to check out some of that food right now! Let’s go over to America and check out what they’re serving up for the festival.
The Artist’s Table
The Artist’s Table is located over in The American Adventure Pavilion.
Here’s a look at the menu! Both food items are returning from last year, but all of the beers and the wine is new.
We started out with the Duck and Dumplings for $7.25. This is smoked duck breast, ricotta dumplings, baby vegetables, and duck jus.
The duck is cooked well and it’s not very fatty, which is good. The mashed potatoes are decent and the gravy is well seasoned.
The dumplings are really nothing special and they didn’t have much seasoning. It is a good portion size, but we would say this dish is just okay overall — it’s nothing special.
Next, we got the Hummingbird Cake for $4.75. This is a banana and pecan cake dipped in cream cheese icing with caramel sauce and warm pineapple compote.
This is SO good! The cake is moist and it’s not too sweet.
The cream cheese icing is the perfect balance to the cake. And, the pineapple and caramel add another layer of flavor that goes great with everything else going on.
This is one of the best things we’ve eaten today!
As for the drinks, you can get the new Wicked Weed Pineapple Daydream IPA, Brew Hub Jazzberry Wheat Jam Ale, or Lost Coast Brewery Peanut Butter Chocolate Milk Stout. These are $5.75 for a 6 oz. or $9.75 for a 12 oz. We decided to get all three of them in a beer flight for $10.25.
You get a little description card with your flight.
The Pineapple Daydream IPA has a very subtle pineapple flavor, and as with most IPAs, you can taste a lot of hops. It’s not very sweet, so if you like a little pineapple and IPAs, you’ll probably enjoy this.
The Wheat Jam Ale is light and crisp and you definitely taste a little bit of a berry flavor in the beer.
Finally, we tried the Peanut Butter Chocolate Milk Stout, which really brings the peanut butter and chocolate flavors! It is a bit on the heavier side, but it’s not sweet, and you can taste that earthiness and richness from the peanut butter and chocolate.
If you’d rather some wine, you can check out the new Migration Pinot Noir for $7.50. Overall, we’d go here for that cake and the beers!
