Tangierine Cafe Once Again Hits the Mark at EPCOT Festival of the Arts
We’re so happy that today marks the first day of the 2024 EPCOT Festival of the Arts — a celebration of all things colorful, creative, and culinary!
All throughout the day, your MickeyBloggers are here reporting LIVE from the festival, sharing all the best reviews, insights, photos, and more, right here on the blog as well as over on our social channels. Thank you so much for joining along with us — it sure is an exciting day!
Feeling hungry?
Ok, so we all know by now that a huge part of any EPCOT festival is, of course, the food. From seasonal specialties at the park’s main restaurants to the countless offerings available at each of the festival’s pop-up marketplace booths, each event serves up so many tasty treats.
One particular spot that consistently impresses us during these festivals can be found in the World Showcase, over at the Morocco pavilion. Let’s go check it out!
Tangierine Café: Flavors of the Medina
Yep, we’re over here at Tangierine Cafe, where Flavors of the Medina is serving all sorts of fresh and tasty concoctions for us to savor.
There are quite a few new items on their Festival of the Arts menu this year, so let’s take a look to see what we’d like to order!
First up in food is a classic from Morocco, the Stone-Baked Moroccan Bread is served with hummus, chermoula, and zhoung dips. Costing $5, this dish is actually a plant-based offering, great for those with specific dietary requirements at the festival!
Another returning menu is the Grilled Kebabs served with a carrot-chickpea salad and garlic aioli. It sounds so tempting — so let’s place our order!
This kebab is available to order with either Chermoula Chicken or Moroccan-Spiced Lamb — with both costing $6.25. We opted for the chicken, and were so pleased with our choice!
We found the meat here to be tender, juicy, and perfectly charred, albeit with a little less seasoning than we’d perhaps have preferred.
However, the chicken tasted beautiful when paired with the crunchy tang from the chickpea salad, which even had a surprisingly subtle kick to it too.
A great menu option that we believe guests can’t go wrong with!
Now, what’s for dessert?
Well, the third menu listing brings a brand-new dessert to the festival, in the form of a unique Chocolate Cake. Being a new dish, we simply had to try this out too!
Costing $5, this pretty chocolate cake is served layered with pomegranate mousse and pomegranate whipped cream.
Not only is this dessert beautiful to look at, but it also sounds incredibly fruity and exotic. But, will the taste be just as good?
Well, MickeyBlog is pleased to report that the unusual dessert is definitely a hit in our books. While the chocolate cake layer on the bottom was rather thin, it was tasty and dense and perfectly complimented by the thick layer of mousse on top.
While the contrast of flavors wasn’t one we were particularly familiar with, it was certainly a duo we’d be happy to recommend. Especially for those who love fruity, chocolatey desserts, without there being too much sweetness, this one is a must-try for sure!
Where there’s food, there’s drink, and there are loads of new and delicious beverage offerings to be found right here at Tangierine.
We’ll start with the non-alcoholic option, which is a Twinings Chai Tea, blended with Sprite and mint. Sounds refreshing!
Then, if you’re feeling boozy, there’s four brand-new options available here for this festival. You’ve got the Grizzly Pear Hard Cider from Blake’s Hard Cider Co., the Rekorderlig Strawberry-Lime Hard Cider, and Keel Farms Blueberry Lavender Hard Cider too. If you’re a hard cider fan, it’s also an option to order these three as a flight!
Finally, Tangierine Cafe is also offering a tasty alcoholic cocktail, entitled the Chai Tea Mint Mimosa…
This drink certainly tempted us from its menu description, so we had to place an order!
It consists of Twinings Chai Tea, blended with Key Lime sparkling wine and mint. The cocktail costs $12.
What can we say? Another hit from Tangierine!
This bubbly cocktail was perfectly flavored with chai, with a refreshing zing coming from the mint as well.
Interestingly, these strong and familiar flavors did slightly contrast the sweetness of the champagne but worked well enough together that we’d still recommend this drink.
Would you give it a go?
