Flavors Are Fun at POP Eats! at the 2024 Festival of the Arts
It’s day one of the 2024 EPCOT Festival of the Arts, and we MickeyBloggers are on the hunt for all things creative, artsy, and inspiring!
Our next stop on our LIVE tour of the festival has brought us over to a fan-favorite food booth, where all of the above elements combine together into an array of the most delicious treats.
Come with us to check out the menu, and let’s dive in!
POP Eats!
We’re over at POP Eats!, one of the favorite returning food booths here at the Festival of the Arts. Just like that big, bold, and eye-catching signage, this booth specializes in classic and creative flavors, inspired by the fun pop art movement of the 20th century.
Sounds good, right? Well, let’s go check out their menu!
First up on the list here at POP Eats! is a crowd-pleasing classic — a Tomato Soup with Grilled Cheese. Costing $5.75, you simply can’t go wrong with a dish like this!
If you’d like to spice this classic up a bit, however, a twist on this dish is also available. We placed an order, so let’s have a taste…
It’s a Tomato Soup, served with pimento cheese, bacon, and fried green tomato grilled cheese!
Sounds great right? Well, this one costs a little more at $6.50, so let’s see what our reporters thought!
First of all — we love that quirky little soup can!
Overall, our reporters really enjoyed this dish. Sure, the sandwich was a little on the greasy side with all that butter. But, when it’s full of delicious flavors such as pimento and bacon, what’s not to love?
However, if it’s something sweet that takes your fancy, there’s also a brand new item available on the menu here this year, one that we’ve been very excited to try!
It’s called the Rock the Dots dessert, consisting of a white chocolate and orange mousse atop a vanilla bean chiffon cake. The cake costs $5.25.
Just like the grilled cheese, this menu item at POP Eats! is also presented beautifully, on a fancy square plate featuring an adorable Minnie Mouse graphic.
But, enough about the plate – we’re all dying to know how that cake was!
Well, just as you’d hope from a chiffon cake, this dessert was silky, creamy, and smooth. The mousse was light and fluffy with a beautiful flavor, coming from both the white chocolate and the orange shining through perfectly.
It was sweet and light, and definitely a delicious treat we’d recommend at the festival!
Feeling like treating yourself to an adult beverage to go with that grilled cheese? Well, POP Eats! has got you covered.
There are two drinks available on the menu here – a Brooklyn Brewery Pulp Art Hazy IPA, and a Blanc de Bleu Cuvee Mousseux, served with boba pearls.
Which will you be ordering?
If the bold colors and flavors of POP Eats! grab your attention, be sure to pay the booth a visit on your next trip to the 2024 EPCOT Festival of the Arts.
