T-Mobile Customers Will Soon Be Able To Get Hulu For Free
As Disney dives head-first into the streaming era, it is increasingly relying on partnerships to increase its subscriber counts.
Yesterday, we brought you the news that Charter Spectrum customers could get free Disney+ with some packages. Now, we are turning our attention to T-Mobile.
T-Mobile to Begin Offering Free Hulu
As part of its most expensive wireless plan, T-Mobile will begin offering customers the ad-supported version of Hulu free of charge.
The subscription, which usually costs $7.99 per month, will be included as part of T-Mobile’s Go5G Next unlimited plan.
The addition of Hulu means that Go5G Next customers will now get Netflix, Apple TV+, and Hulu for no additional charge.
“T-Mobile customers get the best value and the best entertainment streaming bundle in wireless — just for being customers, without having to pay a penny more,” said Mike Katz, T-Mobile’s president of marketing, strategy and products.
The T-Mobile plan starts at $100 monthly for a single line and goes up to $225 monthly for four lines. In total, customers will now get $35 a month in free streaming services.
A Good Deal For Disney
For Disney, the new deal means a large influx of new subscribers, which advertisers will surely look fondly upon.
A deal like the T-Mobile offer typically requires the carrier to pay a wholesale per-subscriber fee for the streaming service.
With Disney now fully invested in streaming, large deals like this will only help to improve their numbers.
In the end, it is a win for both parties and, more importantly, the consumer.
