Disney’s Blizzard Beach Closes through New Years!
Brrr- Walt Disney World is experiencing some cold temperatures this week and the chilly temps may affect your Disney vacation plans.
Are you lucky enough to be visiting Walt Disney World over New Year’s? December is a great time to visit Orlando, but we do get hit with some cooler weather this time of year.
And that chilly weather will be closing down Disney Blizzard Beach for the next few days.
Cold Weather Closure
A quick glance at Disney’s operational calendar shows that Blizzard Beach will be closing due to cold temperatures on January 1 and January 2.
But the good news? At this time, the park will reopen January 3.
These cooler temperatures have been off and on for the last few weeks, but are definitely around into the holiday weekend and New Year’s.
Today is a beautiful sunny day with only a high of 59°.
And looking ahead at the ten-day forecast, we see highs in the upper 60s and lows in the 40s. Bring a coat or an extra layer of warmth if you are visiting the parks this week!
Check your favorite weather app and Walt Disney World’s operations page for the most updated information and to help you plan accordingly.
In the meantime, if you are looking to stay warm, there is still plenty of holiday fun for everyone at the Disney theme parks and the resorts this weekend. With a little planning you can still have an amazing time!
