Disney+ Set to Earn $1Billion in Revenue Per Month by July 2021
Following the recent news that Disney+ has surpassed 100m subscribers, FandomSpot has analyzed their incredible growth since launching in November 2019 and has predicted that by June 2021, Disney+ will generate Disney an incredible $1billion every month in revenue.
Since October 2020, Disney+ has grown its subscribers by 35%, which is equal to a 7.2% average increase month to month.
Based on these calculations, that means in just four months, Disney+ is predicted to reach an impressive 125m subscribers and $1billion in monthly revenue.
That doesn’t even include any additional revenue, such as premium content like Raya and the Last Dragon, brand deals, and sponsorships!
Based on current growth, Disney+ is estimated to earn $1billion per month by July 2021.
Disney+ is catching up quickly with Amazon Prime, which currently has 150m subscribers, but is still only halfway to catching up with Netflix, which has more than 203m subscribers.
Exclusive shows tied to super successful Disney properties such as WandaVision, The Mandalorian, and Falcon and the Winter Soldier, along with a traditional weekly episode release schedule, have ensured that Disney+ can retain their incredible subscriber growth.
If the newest big-player in the streaming game continues producing such high-quality content, then they will undoubtedly retain their subscribers and potentially become the world’s biggest streaming service by 2023 or 2024.
