3 Reasons Disney’s Wilderness Lodge is Holiday Must-Do!
I love visiting Walt Disney World during the holidays. There is something so magical about the parks and the resorts decorated for Christmas.
Each resort has its own special theme and unique look, but one of my favorite places to go to during the holidays is Disney’s Wilderness Lodge.
The rustic ambience, the warm decor, and holiday vibes are perfect. Have you been?
If you are looking for a great place that provides the cozy winter vibes with festive seasonal fun, here are 3 reasons Disney’s Wilderness Lodge is Holiday Must-Do!
Holiday Decor
I am originally from up north, and it is only around the holidays that I really miss “home.” There is something rustic and cozy about Wilderness Lodge that is perfect.
From the roaring fireplaces to the warm-hued wood, nothing beats the elegant and rustic ambiance at Fort wilderness Lodge.
And the holiday decor is equally gorgeous. From fresh green swags to festive wreaths to poinsettia adorned greenery and twinkling lights– everything about this transports me away from hot and sunny Orlando Florida. It really makes it feel like the holidays.
And that tree? Glowing tepees, Native American accents, natural elements and gorgeous ornaments all woven together. It is simply stunning!
Seasonal Eats at Territory Lounge
Territory Lounge is one of my favorite lounges to visit on Disney property. It is cozy, inviting and relaxing without being crowded and loud. It is a great stop for relaxing at the end of a long day.
I love to visit during the holidays because they have delicious seasonal eats and drinks for a limited time.
On my most recent visit I indulged in the Orange-spiced Sangria featuring Chateau Ste Michelle Cabernet Sauvignon, Cointreau Liqueur ,Apple Cider, and House-made Spiced Orange Syrup. It was delicious.
I also had the Wild Mushroom Bisque soup that is not on the menu but available from Artist Point if you ask for it.
And this charcuterie board. Perfect!
Sweets and Sips
In the center of the lobby is a great holiday set up! Wilderness Lodge is selling delicious treats like peppermint bark and sugar cookies along with some warm holiday drinks.
There is creamy hot chocolate and sweet hot apple cider, and the option to make it boozy! It is conveniently located next to the inviting fireplace – this is the perfect place to sit back in a rocking chair and feel any holiday stress melt away.
