BREAKING: Apparent Fire Tonight in Magic Kingdom – Flames Seen Near Attraction
Three firetrucks from Reedy Creek Fire Department were seen entering Magic Kingdom tonight at approximately 8:30PM EST through the back entrance near Fantasyland. This is not the entrance guests go through.
Twitter user @CDHowardRx posted a tweet which apparently shows flames rising from Under the Sea ~ Journey of the Little Mermaid.

It has been a very stormy day in the Orlando area with strong rain and gusty winds.
We’re not sure, but perhaps the winds combined with the Enchantment fireworks contributed to the fire. The timing would seem to coincide, however, this is just conjecture on our part.
As you can see from the Orange County Sheriff’s Office call log, there was a report at 8:32PM that could possibly be in response to the fire.
Screenshots from @CDHowardRx’s tweet clearly show flames bellowing from the attraction.
Here’s another view of the flames:
And here’s a closer look below. When there have been previous fire calls over the last several months, the Reedy Creek Fire Department has done a very good job of relaying what happened and the cause.

Readers may recall back in December 2021, guests were evacuated from Magic Kingdom and firetrucks drove down Main Street USA when there was a reported fire in a mulched area near Cinderella Castle. See photo below.
