Sneak Peek at the Musical Performances Featured in Disney’s Christmas Parade Special
One of my favorite Christmas traditions growing up was watching the Disney Christmas parade every year on television.
Long before I knew there was a community of fellow Disney fans on the internet, the Disney Christmas Parade felt like a little bit of Disney magic being delivered onto my doorstep each Christmas.

During the special, I could see the places and characters that meant so much to me, and on Christmas Day, nonetheless.
Imagine my surprise when I later realized that the Disney Christmas Parade was not being broadcast live from the happiest place on Earth.

As most of us know, the Disney Christmas Parade is filmed weeks before Christmas arrives. So, while we may be a few days away from the big reveal, we can get an idea of what to expect.

Disney on Broadway Takes Center Stage
This year’s Disney Christmas Parade will once again be chocked full of musical performances.

During the parade, the Broadway and North American Tour Cast of Disney’s Aladdin will perform “Friend Like Me” with Adi Roy portraying Aladdin and Michael James Scott as the Genie.
Ariana DeBose will also appear in the procession performing “This Wish” from Disney’s Wish.

Outside of the parade, the 40th Anniversary Disney Parks Magical Christmas Day Parade will include performances by Mickey Guyton, The Smashing Pumpkins, hosts Derek and Julianne Hough, and more.
Christmas Around the World
As always, parts of the upcoming special were filmed at Walt Disney World and Disneyland. Special performances were also captured at Disney’s Alunai Resort and aboard the Disney Cruise Line.

The Disney Parks Magical Christmas Day Parade will air on Monday, December 25 at 10 a.m. ET/ 9 a.m. PT.

The special will once again feature “spectacular performances of holiday classics and festive new favorites, highlight heartwarming family stories from around the globe, and offer special looks at what’s new around The Walt Disney Company.”
