Sugar and spice and everything nice! Construction continues on Gwendolyn Rogers‘ The Cake Bake Shop at Disney’s Boardwalk Resort.

The Cake Bake Shop
Originally slated to open in late 2023, The Cake Bake Shop is an eatery and French-inspired bakery offering breakfast, lunch, dinner, and afternoon tea.
However, Disney confirmed in September that opening would be delayed until early 2024.
Construction Continues
Since then, construction crews have been hard at work transforming the now-closed ESPN Club into a dreamy, pastel-colored confectionary.
The building is still partially obscured by scrim, which boasts mouth-watering photos of The Cake Bake Shop’s variety of sweet treats. Updated signage that indicates the establishment is “coming soon.”

Meanwhile, the second floor and cupola are easily visible to guests.
The roof is currently covered in blue tarp and dormers have been added to the roofline.
As more details are added, it becomes easier and easier to envision the end result!
Cookies, Cakes, Pastries and More
Disney’s BoardWalk will be the third location for Gwendolyn Rogers’ hit bakery. The Cake Bake Shop is well-known for its elegant look, sophisticated vibe, and of course, for its delectable deserts.
And if you’re anything like us, your mouth is already watering in anticipation!

No official menu has been announced for the Walt Disney World location. However, menus for The Cake Bake Shop’s existing locations include an impressive array of delicious – and insanely gorgeous – desserts.
You’ll find cookies, pies, cakes, ice cream, cheesecakes, French pastries, and hot chocolate options like Peppermint Hot Chocolate and Unicorn Hot Chocolate.
And for sweet sips with a kick, The Cake Bake Shop also offers a variety of quality champagne and hand-crafted cocktails.
Fingers crossed these menu items make it to Disney’s BoardWalk sometime (very) soon!
Coming Soon?
Disney has not announced an official opening date for The Cake Bake Shop, but the bakery is expected to open in early 2024. Stay tuned to MickeyBlog for the latest updates!
