Breeze Airlines Brings Back “Disney to Disney” Flight
The Disney to Disney air route is coming back!
Breeze Airways announced yesterday that it will begin a new seasonal service at Orlando International Airport (MCO) while also bringing back the Orlando to Orange County, California route that directly connects Walt Disney World and Disneyland. Breeze previously announced that it was temporarily suspending the Disney to Disney route on October 3.
The airline says that it will start seasonal service to Hartford, Connecticut, and relaunch the route between Walt Disney World and Disneyland beginning on May 29, 2024. Both destinations will have three flights a week.
With the addition of the two new seasonal destinations, Breeze Airways will now serve 18 destinations from Orlando.
“We’re excited to continue adding new nonstops, connecting cities that previously had no nonstop service,” Breeze Airways President Tom Doxey said in a statement.
Breeze Continues to Increase Its Orlando Presence
The two new flights will kick off just before the summer, hoping to attract vacationing families and business travelers.
According to Kevin Thibault, CEO of the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority, the new flights will add affordable service to bring more visitors to Central Florida.
The new flights also speak to Breeze’s increased presence at Orlando International Airport.
This fiscal year, Breeze had 166,541 travelers at MCO. That number was dramatically up from the 10,089 travelers that the airlines had in fiscal 2022.
Meanwhile, MCO has managed to add new routes from Porter Airlines, Allegiant, and Southwest Airlines as it continues improving its impressive roster.
