A New Christmas-Themed Trailer For Marvel’s ‘What If…?’ Season 2 Has Arrived
Marvel fans will have a little extra to be thankful for this holiday season when Marvel’s What If…? season 2 finally streams on Disney+.
A new trailer for the upcoming series begins with The Watcher saying, “Let me tell you one of my favorite yuletide stories” before the clip breaks into a Marvel parody of the 12 Days of Christmas.
A New Look at Season 2
Fans are then treated to clips from the upcoming series, where “there are infinite stories to be told across the multiverse.”
Among the previews in the new trailer are an episode where Nebula joins the Nova Corps and another where Iron Man 2 villain Justin Hammer inhabits the Hulkbuster Iron Man suit.
What Fans Can Expect
According to the What If…? Season 2 synopsis:
“The Watcher continues the journey as our guide through the vast multiverse, introducing brand-new and familiar faces throughout the Marvel Cinematic Universe.”
“The animated anthology series questions, revisits, and twists classic Marvel Cinematic moments with an incredible voice cast that includes a host of stars who reprise their iconic roles.”
New and Returning Heros
In addition to returning heroes such as Captain America, Iron Man, and Spider-Man, Season 2 of What If…? will feature the animated debut of newer Marvel heroes such as Shang-Chai, Ms. Marvel, and Kate Bishop.
Audiences will also be introduced to a new original hero named Karrori. Her origin story will be examined in an episode that asks what would happen if the Tesseract fell to Earth and landed in the sovereign Haudenosaunee Confederacy before the colonization of America.
What If…? Season 2 will debut on Disney+ on December 22. Then, new episodes will air each day for the next nine days. I can’t wait!
