Grace Jabbari Reveals Why She Did Not Initially Tell Police About The Jonathan Majors Incident
Jonathan Majors’s ex-girlfriend Grace Jabbari continued her testimony on Wednesday, telling a Manhattan jury that she initially didn’t want to get Majors in trouble when she woke up surrounded by NYPD officers in the couple’s Chelsea apartment last March.
On Tuesday, Jabbari described the initial incident, which occurred as the couple was driving home in a private car from Brooklyn.

According to Jabbari, on their drive back to Manhattan, she noticed a text message on Majors’s phone that read, “I wish I was kissing you right now.”
After grabbing the phone from Majors’s hands, she alleges that he “pulled” and “twisted” her arm to retrieve the device. She also allegedly felt a “hard blow” across her head.

“The pain wasn’t registering,” she said. “I was aware there was pain in my body, but I hadn’t registered anything. I’m a dancer. I’ve danced with a broken rib.”
Majors Called 911 The Next Day
When Majors, who had checked into a hotel, returned to the couple’s apartment the next morning, he reportedly found Jabbari unconscious and called 911.

“Being a woman, half-naked, like, surrounded by big men. It was not the nicest feeling I’ve ever experienced in my life,” Jabbari testified.
Jabbari Didn’t Want To Tell the Police About Majors
When the police initially woke her, she did not speak about the assault.
“I think just things he had told me in the past of not trusting police — and what they would do to — him, as a Black man, and I didn’t want to put him in that situation,” Jabbari said.
According to Jabbari, she finally spoke up after Bellevue medics told her they believed she had hurt herself.
“He knows what he’s done,” she testified. “He’s cheated on me. He’s attacked me.”
Jabari also testified that she felt it was her fault when she learned Majros had been arrested. Still she says, the actor’s reaction to his arrest has meant that her torment has been ongoing.

“It’s felt like the abuse that I was in has just not ended,” she said.
