Walt Disney World Wait Times for First Week of November 2023
Welcome to the holiday season at Walt Disney World!
While Halloween technically lasted until November 1st this year at Magic Kingdom, Disney’s Yuletide decorations had already appeared in October.
Normally, park crowds increase throughout the holiday season as fans bask in the warmth of Disney during Christmas.
Was that the case this past week? Here are the wait times for the first week of November 2023.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom
Speaking of holiday decorations, you’ll already find them at Animal Kingdom!
MickeyBlog’s exceptional reporters have captured images of several additions, including a photo op.
We also recently snagged photos of the holiday décor at Pandora – The World of Avatar.
Speaking of Pandora, Avatar Flight of Passage has required the longest wait pretty much every week this year.
During early November, guests stood in line for an average of 76 minutes, seven minutes or ten percent more than last time.
At Na’vi River Journey, the average wait was 64 minutes, which is five minutes or eight percent more.
How were the rest of the attractions? Here are Animal Kingdom’s average wait times this past week:
- Adventurers Outpost – 48 minutes, down 2
- Kilimanjaro Safaris – 42 minutes, up 7
- Expedition Everest – 33 minutes, up 8
- DINOSAUR – 29 minutes, up 8
- Kali River Rapids – 13 minutes, down 7
- It’s Tough to Be a Bug! – 10 minutes, no change
- TriceraTop Spin – 10 minutes, up 1

Overall, these attractions required an average wait of 35 minutes, which is two minutes more than last time.
Something to keep in mind the rest of the year is that the wet rides tend to deflate wait times.
Disney will keep these attractions open until January’s off-season. However, fewer guests are willing to ride Kali River Rapids in colder weather.
So, I average the ride into the overall park wait times, but it always feels a bit misleading.
You can tell that most attractions increased their wait times. The one significant drop involved the weather.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios
This park has added some seasonal touches as well. We’ve got Frozone standing in front of a new backdrop for his photo op.
Also, the Hollywood Tower Hotel area has added…something. It’s a mystery as to why, at least until Disney Jollywood Nights opens this week.
So, we’ve got added intrigue, plus those lovely holiday touches. Even Muppet*Vision 3D got a touch-up. But how were the crowds?
Here are the average wait times at Hollywood Studios last week:
- Slinky Dog Dash – 88 minutes, down 5
- Star Wars – Rise of the Resistance – 79 minutes, up 13
- Twilight Zone Tower of Terror – 70 minutes, up 17
- Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith – 65 minutes, down 5
- Toy Story Mania! – 61 minutes, up 2
- Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway – 58 minutes, no change
- Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run – 57 minutes, down 2
- Red Carpet Dreams – 42 minutes, up 2
- Alien Swirling Saucers – 37 minutes, no change
- Celebrity Spotlight – 22 minutes, up 4
- Star Tours – The Adventures Continue! – 18 minutes, up 6
- Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy – 15 minutes, no change
- Muppet*Vision 3D – 10 minutes, no change
Overall, Hollywood Studios guests waited in line for an average of 43 minutes per attraction, which is two minutes more than last time.
Five attractions required an average wait in excess of an hour, while two others were close enough to count.
Still, I’d consider this week’s crowd sizes reasonable for early November.
EPCOT

As we finish 2023, EPCOT remains one of the greatest unknowns.
Since Disney is adding so much at the park late in the year, its attendance should be higher than in recent years.

Interestingly, EPCOT’s average wait time actually decreased a bit this week.
Guests stood in line for an average of 29 minutes per attraction, which is three minutes less than last time.
This average will definitely go up when the Candlelight Processional begins.

Final Thoughts
At Magic Kingdom, guests waited for an average of 29 minutes, which is one minute more than last time.
Overall, wait times and (presumably) crowds increased ever so slightly at the start of November.
We’re about to enter the busy season, which means this week’s wait times will seem quaint in a couple of weeks.
