Reopening Date for ‘Fantasmic’ at Disneyland Announced
Earlier this year, “Fantasmic” at Disneyland Park in the Disneyland Resort closed for an undetermined time period after the beloved Maleficent Dragon caught on fire during the performance. Since then, we have been patiently waiting for a reopening date, and today, we are glad to pass that date along!
Per Disney X expert, Scott Gustin, Fantasmic at Disneyland will be reopening on May 24, 2024!

Gustin reported, per Disneyland Cast Members, “At a Fantasmic! Cast meeting earlier this week, we announced that the show will return on May 24. We look forward to providing more information about Fantasmic! in the coming months, but for now this is all we have to share.”

While “Fantasmic” will be reopening on May 24, 2024, one noticeable feature will be missing when it does.
Earlier this year, Disneyland released a statement stating that it would be reopening in Spring 2024 but “won’t include the dragon figure, but it will feature new special effects and a thrilling new battle scene between Sorcerer Mickey and Maleficent.”
