In the cartoon, Mickey Mouse heads on vacation from Burbank to Pomona with Pluto.
Frank Duck Brings ‘Em Back Alive Released (1946)
On this day in 1946, Frank Duck Brings ‘Em Back Alive was released.
In the cartoon, Goofy plays a “wild man of the jungle” while Donald is a hunter.
The Golden Horseshoe Jamboree Debuts (1986)
On this day in 1986, the Golden Horseshoe Jamboree debuted at Disneyland
The revamped version of the Golden Horseshoe Revue starred Judi Wallace as Miss Lilly and Gil Christner as Sam.
The Disney Wilderness Preserve Opens (1999)
On this day in 1999, the Disney Wilderness Preserve opened.
Located south of Orlando at the headwaters of the Everglades, the 12,000-acre preserve is located on one of the last remaining undeveloped lakes in Central Florida.
The Santa Clause 2 Opens (2002)
On this day in 2002, The Santa Clause 2 opened in theaters.
The film starred Tim Allen as Scott Calvin, who needs to find a Mrs. Clause if he wants to remain Santa.
Brother Bear Released (2003)
On this day in 2003, Brother Bear was released.
The film tells the story of a young boy named Kenai who kills a bear in revenge. The Spirits who are angered by the needless death transform the boy into a bear as punishment.
John Lasseter Gets Walk of Fame Star (2011)
On this day in 2011, John Lasseter received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Lasseter was instrumental in the creation of Pixar and led the company to the zenith of its popularity.
Tony Baxter Gets Main Street Window (2013)
On this day in 2013, Tony Baxter received a window on Disneylan’s Main Street U.S.A.
The legendary Imagineer’s window reads Main Street Marvels, Tony Baxter, Inventor “Imagination is in the Heart of our Creations”.
Aladdin Opens in Toronto (2013)
Finally, on this day in 2013, Aladdin opened at the Ed Mirvish Theatre in Toronto.
Disney’s newest Broadway-bound musical would run through January 5, 2014.
