Channing Tatum To Star In ‘Bob The Musical’ For Disney
According to a recent piece in Variety, Channing Tatum is attached to star in and produce a new Disney comedy called Bob the Musical. The production has been making the rounds for more than a decade but it looks like it will finally see the light of day!
Tatum will produce the film via his company Free Association along with partners Reid Carolin and Peter Kiernan. No director has currently been mentioned in conjunction with the film.
The story centers on a regular guy whose worst nightmare comes to life when he wakes up and finds that he’s trapped in a musical! Numerous writers have tackled the project in the past including Michael Chabon, Alan Loeb, Mike Bender and more! Directors mentioned in conjunction with the project have been Mark Waters, Adam Shankman, Michel Hazanavicius and the team of Phil Lord and Chris Miller. Jessica Virtue and Allison Erlikhman are overseeing for Disney.
Tatum’s recent films including “Hail, Caesar!,” “Logan Lucky” and “Kingsman: The Golden Circle.” He’s also due to co-direct, produce, write and star in the road-trip comedy “Dog.” The film centers on a former Army Ranger and his Belgian Malinois dog Lulu. He will make his directorial debut for the film.
