Check Out this Spook-tacular Pumpkin Carving at Disneyland Hotel
Happy Halloween from Disneyland Resort!
We hope everyone had a spooky, not-so-scary, festive time celebrating yesterday? We know we sure did!
Especially for our MickeyBlog reporters over at Disneyland, this “HalloweenTime” was filled with plenty of surprise, creativity, and — best of all — pumpkins!
Yesterday, we were lucky enough to view the incredible Pumpkin Carver display inside the Disneyland Hotel, and we simply had to show you the ingenious and impressive designs on show. Of course, they’re all inspired by Disney characters, so let’s check them out!
Situated in the lobby of the Disneyland Hotel, this daily display features the impeccable artistry of sculptor Joe Yakovetic.
This year, Yakovetic is back at the resort to “wow” guests with his unique and inspiring pumpkin creations, and it was wonderful to view his work up close and in person throughout this limited-time feature!
Now, if you’ve been following along with MickeyBlog this week, you’ll no doubt have seen the photos we’ve shared from the incredible Cast Member pumpkin decorating contests, which take place at the resort hotels across Walt Disney World.
From attractions to characters, movies, and more, these impressive pumpkin designs never fail to amaze us year after year, and we’ve loved admiring them all on the blog.
However, over here in Disneyland, Yakovetic’s pumpkin artistry is a bit different. For his pumpkins, Yakovetic uses intricate and exquisite carving techniques to portray classic Disney characters and icons, in a way that’s sure to make you a double-take.
For instance, just look at this truly incredible Alice in Wonderland-inspired pumpkin creation…
There’s also this chilling design, featuring a portrait of the eerie Davy Jones from Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest…
And, spectacularly, this unique representation of the Enchanted Rose from Disney’s Beauty and the Beast…
Unfortunately, now that October has drawn to a close, these daily pumpkin carving displays have ended here at the Disneyland Hotel for 2023. However, we will keep our fingers crossed that the artistry will make a return for the 2024 spooky season… we’re already counting down, after all!
Which Disney pumpkin design has been your favorite for Halloween 2023? Have these creative designs inspired you to make your own unique pumpkin artistry this season? Let us know in the comments!
