Halloween is a slower day in Disney history, but it did feature the release of a Goofy cartoon, a special event at Disneyland, and the official announcement of a Pixar classic. So, let’s get started!

All Wet Released (1927)
On this day in 1927, All Wet was released.

The short featured Oswald the Lucky Rabbit who must save Fanny from drowning.
The Country Cousin Released (1936)
On this day in 1936, The Country Cousin was released.

The short would go on to win an Academy Award for Best Cartoon.
Two Weeks Vacation Released (1952)
On this day in 1952, Two Weeks Vacation was released.

The film featured Goofy who goes on an ill-fated vacation.
KISS-FM Holds Disneyland Party
On this day in 1994, KISS-FM Radio hosted a special Halloween party from 6:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. at Disneyland.

Guests who arrived between 6:00 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. could enter free of admission.
The Wind and the Willows Released (1996)
On this day in 1996, The Wind and the Willows was released.

The film starred members of Monty Python’s Flying Circus and would get rave reviews. Unfortunately, a legal battle with distributors would overshadow the film’s release. The film would be renamed Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride on home video.
Disney Announces Finding Nemo (2002)
On this day in 2002, Disney and Pixar announced that Finding Nemo would be released on May 30, 2003.

The film would be the 5th release by Disney and Pixar and would be accompanied by the short Knickknack.
Ray Bradbury Visits Disneyland (2007)
On this day in 2007, Ray Bradbury attended a presentation of a Halloween Tree at Disneyland.

The event celebrated the 35th anniversary of Bradbury’s book The Halloween Tree, which told the story of a group of boys trick-or-treating on Halloween night.
Hall of Presidents Closes For Refurbishment (2008)
On this day in 2008, the Hall of Presidents closed for refurbishment.
The attraction would be closed for 8 months, eventually reopening with a new narration and the addition of President Barrack Obama.
Space Mountain: Ghost Galaxy Closes (2013)
On this day in 2013, Space Mountain: Ghost Galaxy closed.

The seasonal overlay of Hong Kong Disneyland had first premiered in 2007.
