Jonathan Majors’ Trial Is Set To Begin November 29
After a series of delays, the Jonathan Majors domestic abuse trial will begin on November 29.
Majors appeared in court on Wednesday via Zoom as he is currently out of state. During the hearing, the actor’s defense team filed a motion to request that “contested evidence” remain under seal due to the high-profile nature of the case. According to defense attorney Seth Zuckerman, “the disclosure of sensitive information will limit Mr. Majors’ right to a fair trial.”

Majors Was Arrested After Domestic Abuse Incident
The Loki star was arrested in Manhattan on March 25 after an alleged domestic dispute with his then-girlfriend Grace Jabbari.
At the time of the arrest, Jabbari told officers she was assaulted after an altercation in a taxi.

Jabbari was taken to the hospital with minor injuries to her head and neck. Majors was arrested and subsequently charged with assault and aggravated harassment.
While Judge Michael Gaffey has yet to rule on the defense team’s latest motion, the court did dismiss a defense motion to dismiss the suit.
The District Attorney Blasts the Defense
In a 115-page response to the motion to dismiss the case, the Manhattan District Attorney’s office alleges that Majors’ legal team has misrepresented and leaked court evidence. They further assert that the defense also attempted to have police create a wanted poster with Jabbari’s photo.

Majors’ attorney Priya Chaudhry has publically stated that the defense team has evidence that will exonerate Majors, including surveillance video that showed Jabbari “completely unharmed.”
The prosecution’s most recent filing, however, disputed this assertion, saying the “surveillance video referred to by the defense actually shows Ms. Jabbari visibly upset, crying, and seeking help from strangers to get an Uber cab home.”

Thankfully, after months of speculation and delay, Majors’ day in court is coming and the truth will come out.
