Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort Evacuated This Morning
Despite being The Most Magical Place on Earth, things can still go wrong in Disney World. You can prepare for certain situations, but others you just have to handle as you’re faced with them.
Luckily, Disney prioritizes keeping people safe during situations that don’t go according to plan. One of those situations happened today over at a Disney hotel.
Polynesian Village Resort Evacuation
Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort was evacuated this morning due to a brief chemical scare. The Reedy Creek Fire Department confirmed the incident to FOX 35 News.
They said that an employee was mixing two chemicals that should not be mixed together and the reaction lead to the evacuation. According to WESH, a spokeswoman for the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District told NBC News that the mixing of the chemicals results in some gasses.
The fire department was called to the hotel and the kitchen was evacuated as a precaution. There were no guests affected by the incident.
There were a few employees evaluated on the scene and no injuries were reported. Firefighters cleared the incident by 11AM.
