Meet the Team That Makes Disney World Merry and Bright For the Holidays
As a long-time Walt Disney World visitor, I can honestly say that the holiday season at Disney is truly the most wonderful time of year.
Not only are Disney’s four theme parks decked out in festive decorations, but each of Walt Disney World’s resorts gets in on the fun, celebrating the holidays in their own unique way.
Well, if you have ever been awed by the grandeur of the Wilderness Lodge Christmas tree, entranced by the Grand Floridian Gingerbread House, or thrilled to learn how the holidays are celebrated throughout World Showcase, then I want to introduce you to the team of Cast Members who make the holiday magic happen.
Introducing Disney’s Holiday Service Team
Disney’s Holiday Services team is made up of designers, decorators, and other professionals who are tasked with designing 600 trees, hanging 1,700 wreaths, and unrolling nearly nine miles of garland every year.
As anyone who has visited Walt Disney World at the beginning of November knows, the Holiday Services team makes sure that Disney’s holiday decorations get up quickly.
Just days after Halloween, the entire resort is sparking with Christmas decorations and the holiday spirit is in the air.
A Year-Round Job
While Disney may get its decorations up quickly, the Holiday Services team is working year-round to make sure that all Disney World visitor’s holidays are merry and bright.
Whether they are creating new items or making sure that existing decor remains up to par, Holiday Services is getting ready for the holidays 365 days a year.
So, as Walt Disney World gets ready to shimmer and shine for the holidays, let’s thank the Cast Members at Holiday Services who make the magic happen.
