October 3rd was a busy day in Disney history,y with the launch of the Mickey Mouse Club, the opening of a classic Magic Kingdom attraction, and the premiere of a new Star Wars show. So, let’s get started!

On this day in 1927, the Oswald the Lucky Rabbit film The Mechanical Cow was released.

Lend a Paw Released (1941)
On this day in 1941, the Pluto short Lend a Paw was released.

In the cartoon, Pluto saves a small kitten from drowning but then regrets his decision when Mickey welcomes that cat into his home.
Mickey’s Delayed Date Released (1947)
On this day in 1947, the Mickey Mouse cartoon Mickey’s Delayed Date was released.

In the cartoon, Mickey is late for a date with Minnie and has to get himself ready in a hurry with Pluto’s help.
The Mickey Mouse Club Launches (1955)
On this day in 1955, the Mickey Mouse Club launched on ABC.

The series featured 34 kids known as Mousekeeters and featured cartoons, educational segments, singing, dancing, and special guest stars.
Peter Pan’s Flight Opens (1971)
On this day in 1971, Peter Pan’s Flight opened in Walt Disney World.
Although the attraction wasn’t ready for the park’s opening day, fans could now soar over Neverland.
Expo Robotics Closes (1993)
On this day in 1993, Expo Robotics closed in EPCOT Center’s CommuniCore West pavilion.

The World of Disney Opens (1996)
On this day in 1996, The World of Disney opened at Walt Disney World.
Located in the Village Marketplace, The World of Disney is the world’s largest Disney store.
IllumiNations 25 Debuts (1996)
Also on this day in 1996, IllumiNations 25 officially debuted to the public.

The Flying Fish Cafe Opens (1996)
Also on this day in 1996, The Flying Fish Cafe opened at Disney’s Boardwalk Resort.

Beverly Hills Chihuahua Released (2008)
On this day in 2008, Beverly Hills Chihuahua was released.

The film tells the story of a pampered Chihuahua named Chloe who finds herself lost in Mexico.
Star Wars Rebels Premieres (2014)
On this day in 2014, Star Wars Rebels premiered on the Disney Channel.
The animated series bridged the gap between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope.
Milo Murphy’s Law Debuts (2016)
On this day in 2016, Milo Murphy’s Law debuted on Disney XD.

The show revolves around a character named Milo Murphy who is burdened with terrible luck. The film starred Weird Al Yankovic.
Grand Floridian Society Orchestra Plays Final Performance (2020)
Finally, on this day in 2020, Disney’s Grand Floridian Society Orchestra played their final show at the Theater of the Stars at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
