Sorry Disney, These New Halloween Treats Were A Total Fail.
It’s spooky season in Disney World, complete with a Halloween party, a ton of festive decorations, and new merchandise. That’s not all, though — there are also a bunch of tasty Halloween snacks to try!
We’ve had pumpkin soft serve, pumpkin donuts, and some very fancy pumpkin treats (along with a lot of non-pumpkin options!). And today, we tried two NEW Halloween treats over at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground!
Fort Wilderness Halloween Treats
Both of these new treats were from Trail’s End Restaurant at Fort Wilderness. The first one is the Pumpkin Sugar Cookie!
This is a Tie-dyed Halloween sugar cookie with buttercream for $4.29.
Unfortunately, MickeyBlogger Zach hated this cookie. He said it was way too thick, which made it chalky.
Even though there appears to be a lot of frosting on this thing, he said it still wasn’t enough to cover up that chalky flavor and texture.
The bright side of this treat is that it’s colorful with that tye-dye pattern and will certainly look good in a picture. It’s also shareable, but that’s really only a positive because it means you’d get to eat less of this treat!
Next, we got the new Spooky Mini Cookies and Dipping Cream for $5.99. These are Halloween sugar cookies with dipping icing.
This is definitely a fun idea and the colorful shapes are festive, but how does it taste?
Just like the individual cookie, these smaller cookies are way too thick! That thickness makes the texture chalky, which you never really want in a cookie.
The buttercream, on the other hand, has really tasty flavor. It definitely helps with the issues of the cookies!
We still wish this treat was a little more worth trying for yourselves, but the frosting is the only good thing here.
These two treats are only available from now through October 31st, so if you want to try them out, get them while ya can! Stay tuned for more Disney World food news and updates.
