PHOTOS: Shop With Us at Disney World’s Annual Passholder Merchandise Event
Disney World Annual Passholders have a unique opportunity to save big on Disney merchandise this week!
From September 20th to 23rd, Annual Passholders can visit the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex to shop for past collections, clothing, collectibles, and more for up to 60% off. Today’s the first day of this sale, so find out what we experienced right here!
Virtual Queue
First, we had to join the virtual queue for the event. This can be found in the My Disney Experience app — just click “Join Virtual Queue” to find all the available options!
The Passholder Merchandise Event virtual queue opened at 8AM, and as of 9AM, it looked like you could still join the queue (albeit with a 380-minute estimated wait).
Note that capacity and merchandise are limited, and even if you do join the virtual queue, there’s no definitive guarantee that you’ll be able to shop the event.
Our wait time was estimated at 170 minutes and we were assigned to Group 22. When your group is called, the app should send a push notification, and you’ll have up to two hours to check into the event. The store opens at 10AM, so we could be called anytime after that.
At check-in, you will need to provide one of the following, as well as a valid photo ID:
- Annual Pass card
- MagicMobile Pass
- MagicBand/MagicBand+
When the store opened at 10AM, this is what the app reflected. Note that we joined the virtual queue right at 8AM.
We headed to the AdventHealth Arena while we waited for our group to be called.
Here’s what the crowd looked like!
Our group was finally called just prior to 11AM. Let’s go shopping!

Shopping the Event
It’s important to note that there are NO strollers allowed in the building today. Keep that in mind if you have young kiddos!
We waited in line to enter the shopping area.
There were a number of photo ops too.
There was even a DJ playing music!
The shopping area is HUGE with tons of items all over the place.
There were signs designating certain categories, like apparel, home decor, headwear & accessories, and more.
Items were simply in boxes on display.
Both the retail and discounted prices were printed on signs above items, like the 50th Celebration Soap, which was discounted from $8 to just $3.20.
In fact, we noticed quite a few 50th anniversary items available, like this 50th Golden Statues Animal Kingdom Ornament Set, discounted from $49.99 to $19.99.
Some Disney Cruise Line items were also for sale, like this Castaway Cay Corkcicle Water Bottle, down from $21.99 to $8.80.
A few Dooney & Bourke items were there too, like this Princess Dooney & Bourke Satchel, down from $268 to $107.20.
There were a number of holiday items available, like this Nightmare Before Christmas Wreath for $14, down from $35.
And a few lightsaber hilts had a steep price drop, like this Princess Leia Hilt for $47.60, down from $119.99.
You can choose to purchase a reusable blue bag for $2…
…or grab a free plastic bag.
When you’re done shopping, you can head to the areas marked for checkout…
…or you can use Mobile Checkout!
And on a fun note, there were also food items for sale! You may also notice the Mr. Toad Popcorn Bucket on sale at $5 too.
Ultimately, there were some big discounts on older items, so make sure you head over to the event if you want to save money! This event will last from September 20th to the 23rd.
