New Lorcana Princess Tiana Card Does Not Point To Kingdom Hearts Crossover
Disney released a preview of its new Tiana card which is part of the second series of Disney Lorcana called Rise of the Floodborn and it has fans of the game talking! In the image, which you can see below, it looks as if the Princess is carrying a Keyblade. However, according to Disney, she’s wielding a masquerade mask and nothing more.
The second set of the beloved Magic The Gathering-style card game from Disney will feature new key characters including Princess and the Frog. Tiana was one of the first cards previewed from the set. She is featured on the front of a Steel Ink card with the NEW *Resist* keyword.
Let’s take a look at the card:
As you can see from the image above, Tiana dons a beautiful ball gown in the image complete with a masquerade mask affixed to a blue staff. As Comicbook.net tells us, upon seeing the preview of the card for the first time, fans immediately wondered if what looks like a mask is actually a Keyblade from Kingdom Hearts. However, this was quickly refuted by Ravensburger the makers of the card game. They took to the Discord server for the game to say that no Keyblade is present in the image.
Though a Disney Lorcana/ Kingdom Hearts crossover isn’t completely out of the question, the popular video game is its own entity and is a collaboration with Disney and Square Enix. Secondly Kingdom Hearts already has a trading card game through Tomy. So Lorcana fans, don’t hold your breath for a crossover anytime soon.
