The Cake Bake Shop at Disney’s Boardwalk Updates Signs After Delayed Opening
Last week, we here at MickeyBlog shared some important information regarding the Boardwalk’s newest eatery, The Cake Bake Shop. This bakery was originally slated to open later this week but last week the owner of the brand took to social media to announce that the opening date of The Cake Bake Shop has been postponed until 2024.

As you can see from the post above, Gwendolyn Rogers posted that The Cake Bake Shop is expected to open early next year and that more details will be revealed.
Our MickeyBloggers were on the scene at Disney’s Boardwalk today and it does indeed look like the shop is very much still a work in progress.
Construction walls surrounding the future home of The Cake Bake Shop and the advertisements announcing the upcoming opening have now been replaced.
The signs previously announced that the Shop would be opening in 2023 but this has now been switched to a less specific “Coming Soon.”
Similar updates have also been made to Disney World’s official website as well as The Cake Bake Shop’s website.
For those familiar with Disney’s Boardwalk, the new shop will open in the building that previously housed the ESPN Club.
As its name suggests, The Cake Bake Shop will offer a delectable range of sweet treats including cakes, cookies, and even afternoon tea!
An artist rendering previously shared by Disney shows what The Cake Bake Shop will look like once completed.
As you can see, it’s perfectly in keeping with the Boardwalk’s turn-of-the-century style.
During our visit this week, you can see the turreted roof taking shape.
We’re sad to hear about the delay of what we’re sure is going to be one of our favorite Disney hang-out spots. But, some things are worth waiting for!
