Victoria & Albert’s Named Best Restaurant in the United States
History has repeated itself once again with Walt Disney World’s finest dining experience.
For at least the third time, an organization has declared Victoria & Albert’s one of the best restaurants in the United States.

This time, Victoria & Albert’s takes the gold instead of the bronze, though. A service just determined it THE best restaurant in America.
Let’s talk about this stunning feat.
About Victoria & Albert’s

You’ll find Victoria & Albert’s near the lobby at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa.
For many years now, the restaurant has hovered on the brink of winning the title of best of the best.

In 2015, TripAdvisor listed this restaurant as the sixth-best eatery in the United States.
In that ranking, no other Florida restaurant earned a mention on TripAdvisor’s Top 25 list.
At a minimum, Victoria & Albert’s held a claim as Florida’s best.

The following year, this fine dining experience impressed the voters even more.
In TripAdvisor’s Travelers’ Choice Awards, Victoria & Albert’s moved up to second place, a position it would maintain in 2016 as well.
The Disney Parks Blog even bragged about the achievement, noting it was yet again the only Florida establishment to earn a vote.
Still, let’s be honest that there’s a populist element to TripAdvisor’s voting.
Food critics utilize other forms of recognition like Michelin Stars or AAA’s Five Diamond Awards.
Victoria & Albert’s has earned the Five Diamond Award every year since 2000.
In 2023, signs pointed toward the eatery finally earning its first Michelin Star, but that didn’t happen.
However, Victoria & Albert’s has claimed the Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star Award, which makes it the only Florida eatery to hold that and AAA Five Diamond status.
In short, everyone agrees that Victoria & Albert’s is the best in Florida…but what about the rest of America?
Determining the Best Restaurant in America

In July, I referenced the emerging hospitality economy.
As part of that story, I referenced an episode of Hulu’s blockbuster hit series, The Bear, which locked down a spot as one of the most-watched streaming shows this summer.

In an episode entitled Forks, a character works at a fictional Chicago restaurant partially based on a real one named Alinea.
That place is currently one of only 14 locations in the United States to hold a rating of Three Michelin Stars.
I’m mentioning it because a data-driven site just calculated the best restaurants in the United States, with Alinea finishing ninth.

The site in question, Trips to Discover, determined the best restaurants in the country via:
“a comprehensive two-part analysis of 64 highest-ranking restaurants recognized by the Michelin Guide, Forbes Travel Guide, and American Automobile Association (AAA) Diamond Awards.”

Despite having Three Michelin Stars and inspiring an exceptional episode of The Bear, Alinea finished “only” ninth.
I bet you can guess which restaurant won, though!

That’s right, friends. Victoria & Albert’s graded the best of all American restaurants!
Trips to Discover calculated a metric called Customer Review Score. Under that system, Alinea earned a spectacular 4.72 out of a possible 5.
Two other legendary restaurants, Le Bernadin and Per Se, graded 4.72 and 4.73 out of a possible 5.

How did Victoria & Albert’s score? The best restaurant in America somehow managed a whopping 4.81 out of 5, a near-perfect grade.
According to the site, “food quality, personalized service, and excellent past experiences” put Victoria & Albert’s over the top as THE best restaurant in the country.
