While most of the news coming from Disney+ hasn’t been great in the last few weeks, we finally have a positive update to share!
Disney+ will premiere Diary of a Wimpy Kid Christmas: Cabin Fever on December 8.
The Next ‘Diary of a Wimpy Kid’ Story
Jeff Kinney’s hilarious and heartfelt holiday today will be the latest animated movie centered on Greg Heffley, a disaster-prone middle school student.
In the holiday special, when Greg accidentally damages a snowplow while making a snowman with his best friend Rowley Jefferson, the young boy worries that he won’t get the new video game console he so desperately wants for Christmas.
To make matters worse, Greg is snowed in with his family, including the grumpy Rodrick and the annoying Manny.
Diary of a Wimpy Kid Christmas: Cabin Fever features the voices of Wesley Kimmel, Erica Cerra, and Hunter Dillion. The film was written and produced by Kinney and directed by Luke Cormican.
Diary of a Wimpy Kid Christmas: Cabin Fever is a sequel to the 2021 film Diary of a Wimpy Kid. The sequel was originally revealed ahead of the first film’s release by creator Jeff Kinney.
A Widely Popular Series
Originally released in 2007, the Diary of a Wimpy Kid book series has sold more than 275 million copies globally. That number makes the series the fourth best-selling book series of all time.
