BREAKING: New Nighttime Show “The Heartbeat of New Orleans – A Living Mural” Coming to Disneyland
If you’ve been following along with MickeyBlog, you’ll know that today was the opening of Tiana’s Palace, a new quick-service eatery that celebrates Southern Cuisine in New Orleans Square at Disneyland theme park. Well, that’s not the only New Orleans-inspired offering Disney has in the pipeline. In a press release today Disney announced that a new nighttime show ““The Heartbeat of New Orleans – A Living Mural” will be delighting guests on the Rivers of America starting on September 23, 2023.

This new limited-time nighttime offering will enchant guests as the sun sets on Rivers of America. Kicking things off, Queenie and the Jambalaya Jazz Band will perform high-energy tunes on a New Orleans-themed raft as they float down the Riveron select nights. During this set, fountains and lighting will aid in creating a beautiful, ambient atmosphere.
In addition to her dazzling performance, Queenie leads musical call-and-response interactions with guests and always shares her sense of fun.
Then, “The Heartbeat of New Orleans – A Living Mural” will tell a short whimsical tale of a mischievous little frog from the bayou that is lured by the jazzy sounds of New Orleans that he hears in the distance. The nighttime show will feature a dynamic jazz score, projections, and original artwork by Disney Live Entertainment graphic designer Marcella “Marci” Swett.

“The Heartbeat of New Orleans – A Living Mural” and Queenie and the Jambalaya Jazz Band will bring more of the flair of the Big Easy to New Orleans Square in Disneyland. The offering will run on select evenings this fall and nightly during the holiday season.
