Tram Testing is Underway at EPCOT!
Pretty soon, our long national nightmare will be over, and tram service will return to EPCOT.
Today, when visiting the park, our intrepid reporter Miranda saw the trams undergoing testing in anticipation of their return to service. Now, you may be wondering, what exactly is Disney testing?

As a non-tram engineer, I have no idea. Let’s just be happy that all four parks will soon have their tram service restored.
EPCOT Has Been Missing Its Trams For Years
The EPCOT trams remain one of the last Disney casualties of the COVID-19 pandemic. Tram service to the park was suspended in 2020 and has been one of the few offerings to not return.

The first park to get their trams back after Walt Diseny World reopened was the Magic Kingdom, which saw the vehicles return to service in December 2021.
On December 2, 2021, Disney posted “Driver you are clear…to spread a little holiday cheer! Parking trams will be returning to Magic Kingdom Park later this month and other Walt Disney World theme parks throughout 2022!✨” on Twitter.
The mythological Disney’s Hollywood Studio’s tram
As 2022 came and went, only Disney’s Animal Kingdom saw its tram service resume. The tram fleet there made its triumphant return on May 27, 2022.
Return of the Trams
Despite Disney’s initial statement both EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios remained tram-less throughout 2022 and for most of 2023. Then, Disney broke their radio silence.

Now that September is upon us, it will likely only be days until the trams are up and running again at EPCOT. Hopefully, we can then put this dark time in our (Disney) world behind us.
