New Storybook Circus Billboard Added To The Walt Disney World Railroad
One of my favorite attractions at the Magic Kingdom is the Walt Disney World Railroad.
When I close my eyes and think of Disney World, I see sights like Cinderella Castle, the Tree of Life, or The Land pavilion, I smell the Confectionary and the Main Street Bakery, and I hear the sound of the Walt Disney World Railroad’s steam engines.
When the railroad was closed to facilitate the construction of Tron Lightcycle/Run, something was missing from the Magic Kingdom. Not only were Disney fans not greeted with the familiar sight of the Roy O. Disney locomotive on Main Street, but the park as a whole seemed to be missing its connective tissue. It felt like a place under construction.
The Walt Disney World Railroad’s Triumphant Return
Well, I am happy to report that since that time, the Walt Disney Railroad has made its triumphant return, and is now running better than ever!
Since the attraction’s closure in 2018, the entire fleet of trains has now been refurbished and they look amazing!
Not only is the railroad chugging along and making its roundtrip tour of the Magic Kingdom, but there is even a new addition to the ride.
Storybook Circus Replaces TRON
Yesterday, Disney unveiled a new Storybook Circus billboard that greets passengers as they exit Fantasyland and head towards Tomorrowland.
The billboard replaces the TRON “Now Programming” billboard that had been displayed since Lightcycle/Run was still under construction.
I love everything about this new billboard! The updated design features a smiling Casey Junior and reads “Thanks For Choo-Choo-Sing” Storybook Circus.
A yellow banner on the bottom of the billboard reads “The Greatest Show In History- Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow!”.
The tagline makes sure to emphasize “tomorrow”, as riders are exiting Storybook Circus and heading into the futuristic realm of Tomorrowland.
This billboard is exactly the kind of design element that brings the Magic Kingdom together. I am so happy the railroad is back!
So, next time you get a chance to ride the Walt Disney World Railroad, keep your eyes peeled as you head towards the Tomorrowland tunnel, you won’t want to miss this fun new billboard.
