September 3rd was a big day in Disney history with the birth of a Disney Legend, the debut of a new Donald Duck animated series, and the premiere of a popular Disney Channel Original Movie. So, let’s get started!
Eric Larson Born (1905)
On this day in 1905, Disney Legend Eric Larson was born.
One of Walt’s “Nine Old Men”, Larson would begin work at Disney Studios in 1933 and would continue working there until he retired in 1986.
Quack Pack Debtus (1996)
On this day in 1996, the animated series Quack Pack debuted on Toon Disney.
The new series saw Donald raising his three nephews Huey, Dewey, and Louie, who were reimagined as rebellious teenagers.
The Legend of Tarzan Premieres (2001)
On this day in 2001, Disney’s The Legend of Tarzan premiered in syndication.
The animated series took place after the events of the 1999 animated film.
Mickey’s House of Villians Released (2002)
On this day in 2002, Mickey’s House of Villians was released direct-to-video.
The film was based on the animated series Disney’s House of Mouse.
Camp Rock 2 Premieres (2010)
On this day in 2010, Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam premiered on the Disney Channel.
A sequel to the 2008 film Camp Rock, the film starred Demi Lovato and the Jonas Brothers.
Fish Hooks Premieres (2010)
Also on this day in 2010, the Disney animated series Fish Hooks premiered on the Disney Channel.
The animated series revolved around an adolescent fish named Milo, his shy brother Oscar, and their “overly dramatic” best friend Bea.
Pixar Fest Ends (2018)
Finally, on this day in 2018, Pixar Fest ended its Disneyland run.
Originally debuting in April 2018, Pixar Fest added Pixar characters to both Disneyland and Disney California Adventure.
