‘Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs’ Program Signed By Walt Disney Heads to Auction
A true piece of both Hollywood and Disney history is set to hit the market, as Nate D. Sanders Auctions has announced that it will be auctioning off a program from the world premiere of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs signed by Walt Disney himself!
The program dates back to December 21, 1937, when Disney’s first full-length film premiered at the Carthay Circle Theatre in Los Angeles. Walt Disney was on hand for the festivities, which proved to be a triumph for the company.

The front of the historic program features an animated image of the film’s stars, with Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs standing front and center.
Inside the front cover is the unmistakable signature of Walter Elias Disney, from the night of the film’s premiere.

A Piece of Disney History
Even aside from Walt’s signature, this program is an amazing piece of Disney history. The first page of the booklet reads “My sincere appreciation to the members of my staff whose loyalty and creative endeavor made possible this production- Walt Disney”.

Inside the booklet are well wishes and advertisements for various companies including Brock and Company, Beckman Furs, Harman-Ising Studios, and Technicolor!
Also included was a list of awards that Disney had won to that point. Little did Walt and his animators know that Snow White would go on to receive an honorary Oscar in its own right, and launch the Disney Studios to success.

This unique piece of Disney history measures 10.125″ x 12″ and has been deemed to be in very good condition.
When The Auction Takes Place
The auction for this signed Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs premiere program will take place on August 31st. It has a starting bid of $20,000.

While that price is pretty far outside of my range, it is cool to see that this amazing piece of Hollywood history still exists! What a treasure.
