Your Timeline of What’s Coming Soon to Disney Parks and Beyond
One of the things that really struck me from last week’s Q3 Fiscal Report was just how many massive Disney projects are in the pipeline. From incredible theme park renovations to brand new Disney Cruise Line ships and ports of call, here’s a rundown of what we know so far about upcoming Disney openings!

August 31, 2023 – San Fransokyo Opening Day – Disney California Adventure
Get ready for a new neighborhood inspired by the city from Big Hero 6. Aesthetically, this area will combine the stunning architecture of Tokyo and San Francisco and will feature opportunities to Meet Baymax along with new shopping and dining experiences! Be on the lookout for new eateries, Aunt Cass Cafe, Port of San Fransokyo Cerveceria and Rita’s Turbine Blenders. You’ll also want to visit the San Fransokyo Maker’s Market for fun Big Hero 6 -inspired mementos.
Late 2023 – Journey of Water – EPCOT
Guests to EPCOT will soon be able to stroll through this self-guided outdoor attraction where you can interact with water and learn about it’s lifecycle with a bit of help from Moana and Co.

September 28, 2023 – The Villas at Disneyland Hotel, a New Disney Vacation Club Resort
A new Disney Vacation Club property will be opening soon at Disneyland Hotel. The new resort tower will celebrate the legacy of Disney storytelling. The new Disneyland Hotel DVC tower will feature cozy Duo Studios for 2 guests to 3-bedroom Grand Villas that sleep up to 12 guests. The property will feature one-of-a-kind artwork by Disney Legends and magical touches inspired by stories like Jungle Book, Princess and the Frog and more!

Starting October 28, 2023 – Disney Cruise Line Sailings to Australia and New Zealand
Starting this fall, the Disney Wonder fill chart a course for the golden beaches, island wineries, urban adventures and outdoor pursuits found in Australia and New Zealand. While sailing the Tasman Sea you’re sure to make lasting memories that include world-famous entertainment, themed dining and attention to detail synonymous with a Disney Cruise!
Itineraries will range from 2-7 nights!
November 2023 – World of Frozen – Hong Kong Disneyland Resort
Hong Kong Disneyland is adding the final touches to the world’s first Frozen-themed land. With this expansion will be new attractions including Frozen Ever After along with a Frozen-themed family-friendly roller coaster called Wandering Oaken’s Sliding Sleighs. The land will also introduce a new quick-service restaurant and fun merchandise outlets.

Late 2023 – Zootopia Themed Land – Shanghai Disney Resort
Get ready for the opening of the mammalian metropolis of Zootopia. This new land at Shanghai Disney will feature a new major attraction that blends Disney storytelling with state-of-the-art technology. Get ready to mingle with Judy Hopps, Nick Wilde and other beloved friends from the film. The new land will feature entertain, merchandise along with food and beverage offerings.
Late 2023 – World Celebration – EPCOT – Walt Disney World
EPCOT is getting close to completing the new World Celebration neighborhood as part of a monumental re-imagining of the theme park. The World Celebration neighborhood includes everything from the Imagination! Pavilion and Spaceship Earth to upcoming additions like CommuniCore Hall and Plaza (which will be the HUB for EPCOT’s incredible annual festivals) as well as Dreamers Point, a new green space paying tribute to Walt.

2023 – Adventureland Treehouse – Disneyland
The Adventureland Treehouse is going back to its roots with a refurbishment that once again celebrates the Swiss Family Robinson. Nestled along the shores of the Jungle River highlights of the updated treehouse will include a giant waterwheel, wood rope stairways and fascinating rooms including the mother’s music den and the young sons’ nature room.
2023 – Pixar Place Hotel – Disneyland Resort
The Paradise Pier Hotel at Disneyland Resort is undergoing an exciting transformation. The 15-story high rise hotel will be the only fully Pixar-themed hotel in the United States. It will feature incredible theming from your favorite Pixar films and you’ll step into the Pixar magic the moment you walk through the front door as the lobby will feature larger-than-life-curated artwork.
This Summer, the property also debuted a “Finding Nemo-inspired water play area and a family play court should be opening soon inspired by Pixar’s short films including “La Luna,” “Bao,” “For the Birds,” and “Burrow.” This fall, the hotel will also unveil a new restaurant at the resort, Great Maple.

Spring 2024 – Fantasy Springs – Tokyo Disney Resort
Next Spring, Tokyo Disney Resort will be opening an incredible new land that will feature four new attractions, three restaurants, a new retail shop, and a deluxe hotel. Best of all Fantasy Springs will feature rides inspired by Frozen, Tangled and Peter Pan. Get ready to explore Arendelle, the forest and tower from Tangled, and head off on a Neverland adventure with Tinker Bell!

June 2024 – Lighthouse Point – Disney Cruise Line
Move over Castaway Cay! Disney Cruise Line has another new private island stop in Lighthouse Point. This new island retreat is nestled on the southernmost tip of the island of Eleuthera. Here you’ll find the deep blue waters of the Atlantic Ocean, the turquoise waters of the Bahamas, and beaches brimming with amenities that make your stop here the epitome of comfort in a way that combines Bahamian culture with Disney magic!

2024 Tiana’s Bayou Adventure – Disneyland & Walt Disney World
Opening at both Disneyland and Magic Kingdom in 2024, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure replaces Splash Mountain and will take guests on a musical adventure inspired by Princess and the Frog. You’ll join Princess Tiana, Naveen and jazz-loving alligator Louis on an adventure through the Bayou culminating in a one-of-a-kind Mardi Gras celebration.

2024 Disneyland Hotel Royal Transformation – Disneyland Paris
The iconic Disneyland Hotel at Disneyland Paris is undergoing a royal transformation that will celebrate our favorite Disney Princesses and Princes. From classics like Beauty and the Beast, Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty, to more recent hits like Frozen and Tangled this deluxe property will feature decor inspired by your favorite Disney characters and lots of magical touches that are sure to surprise and delight the whole family!

2024 – Disney Vacation Club at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort – Walt Disney World
Construction is currently underway on a new Disney Vacation Club property coming to Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. The DVC tower is currently being built on the shores of Seven Seas Lagoon and will offer additional studios and villas along with recreational offerings and new exciting dining options.

2025 – Disney Treasure – Disney Cruise Line
The latest ship in the Disney Cruise Line fleet is expected to make its debut in 2025. The Grand Hall of the ship is inspired by the mystery and grandeur of a gilded palace. Expect lots of Asian and African influences throughout including a central statue feature Aladdin and Jasmine on their magic carpet ride.
