FIRST LOOK: Big Medal Reveal For 2024 Disney World Marathon Weekend
We’ve got a special treat this Monday afternoon for all you runDisney enthusiasts who are kicking off 2024 by participating in one of the Marathon Weekend races in January. Disney has just shared a first look at the medals and we are excited to pass the character-filled details on to you!
Walt Disney World 5K
Kicking things off for 2024 is this adorable 5K medal featuring Mickey’s loyal canine companion Pluto. We can think of a better way to commemorate this 3.1-mile course which also has the distinction of being one of Marathon Weekend’s family-friendly races!
Walt Disney World 10K
Those participating in the 10K race will receive the Chip ‘n’ Dale Participation medal. It features a bright orange enamel background with our favorite chipmunk duo giving each other a big high-five! The lanyard for the media features a fun acorn design.
Walt Disney World Half Marathon
For those gearing up for the 13.1 mile Half Marathon, you’ll be pleased to know that Donald and Daisy Duck have pride of place on this fun menu! This ducky duo can be seen racing against the clock with full color images that are sure to bring a smile to your face!
Walt Disney World Marathon
Those completing the impressive 26.2-mile marathon course will be rewarded with this colorful medal featuring full-color images of Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse racing to the finish line.
Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend Challenges
For those Marathon Weekend participants that are feeling incredibly ambitious, you can receive this adorable turquoise and orange Goofy Medal for completing the Goofy’s Race and a Half Challenge.
Lastly, there’s nothing dopey about those opting to complete the mighty 48.6-mile Dopey Challenge! To celebrate Disney is dazzling us with this fabulous runDisney medal featuring the beloved dwarf. Best of all, for going the extra mile, your metal will light up!
