Dates & Details Announced for the Holidays at Disneyland Resort!
It’s only the beginning of August, but Disney is already looking ahead to the holiday season! It might seem far away, but Disney starts their celebrations pretty early, so it’ll be here before you know it.
In fact, we just found out that the holiday season will be happening at Disneyland Resort from November 10th, 2023 through January 7th, 2024! Let’s take a look at everything coming for the celebrations.
The Holidays at Disneyland Resort
Disney Festival of Holidays
Disney Festival of Holidays is returning to Disney California Adventure Park! This multicultural seasonal celebration will highlight the traditions of Christmas, Navidad, Diwali, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, and Three Kings Day.
There will be some new and returning food and drink items at the marketplaces in the park. There will also be music and dance performances at the Palisades Stage and Sonoma Terrace.
And, for the first time, there will also be music and performances in the Hollywood Backlot, where Disney Festival of Holidays will also be celebrated!
In addition to these festivities, you can also prepare yourself for Mickey’s Happy Holidays! This performance will have Disney and Pixar characters marching to the beat of the Holiday Toy Drummers.
The Sip and Savor Pass will be back at the festival as well, which gives you eight entitlement tabs that can be redeemed for select food and nonalcoholic beverages from several marketplaces and participating dining locations in the park.
Returning to Paradise Gardens Park for its tenth season is Disney ¡Viva Navidad! And, there will be an all-new menu at Paradise Garden Grill.
The Three Caballeros will be hosting a joyous street party featuring Mexican folklórico dancers and mariachis, Brazilian samba dancers and percussionists, giant mojiganga puppets, and Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse in their holiday best.
Other festivities taking place in this area include live music and dancing, visits with Disney characters, and special appearances by Mirabel from Encanto!
Festive Decor
Throughout Disneyland Resort, you’ll be able to see some awesome holiday decorations like Sleeping Beauty’s Winter Castle! The castle will have icicles and snow-capped turrets.
There will also be a gingerbread house inspired by sweet treats and pastries at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, Christmas trees with uniquely themed ornaments throughout the resort, and snow falling every night in certain areas of Disneyland Park!
And, don’t worry, the special holiday overlays will be returning to some rides! Get ready for “it’s a small world” Holiday and Haunted Mansion Holiday (with a spooky new gingerbread house!) in Disneyland Park and Luigi’s Joy to the Whirl and Mater’s Jingle Jamboree in Disney California Adventure.
Holiday Entertainment & Characters
Mickey Mouse and his friends will be wearing brand NEW holiday outfits in Disneyland Park! Disney says that their classic red and green outfits are getting a midcentury modern-inspired spin.
We already found out this news back during Halfway to the Holidays, and we saw what these outfits are going to look like!
And, Santa Claus will be returning to Disneyland Resort through December 24th, so you can grab your holiday photos!
Returning to Disneyland Park is A Christmas Fantasy Parade with characters from Frozen, Toy Story, and many more. At night, the Believe…In Holiday Magic nighttime spectacular will be happening over Sleeping Beauty Castle.
And, if you want even more magic, the Holiday Time at the Disneyland Resort Guided Tour will offer a hosted experience of select seasonal offerings and reserved viewing for A Christmas Fantasy Parade.
Over at Disney California Adventure Park, World of Color – Season of Light will be happening at Paradise Bay. The show will light up hundreds of fountains that illustrate some heartwarming moments from Disney animated films.
In Downtown Disney, you can check out the live musical performances happening on select nights at the LIVE! stage. And, at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa and Disneyland Hotel, you can take in a cozy atmosphere, which will feature live entertainment on some nights.
We’ll let you know if and when more details are released about the holiday season at Disneyland, so stay tuned!
