First Sample of New Menu Items at Newly Reopened Trail’s End
If you’ve been following along with us here at MickeyBlog you’ll know that Trail’s End, has reopened at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and now boasts a brand new interior as well as a re-vamped menu. Our MickeyBlogger Melissa popped over to Fort Wilderness to sample some of the menu items and we’ve got an exciting first review for you!
Let’s start with the Campfire S’mores Latte.
We love this caffeinated take on one of our favorite Summer treats!
The Campfire S’mores Latte retails for $4.99.
The drink features espresso blended with Swiss chocolate.
Toasted marshmallow and whipped cream bring the flavors.
Graham Cracker Crumbs and Mini Marshmallows add the finishing touches!
Melissa said that she would 100% recommend this treat!
It strikes the perfect balance and is not too sweet with the three s’mores essentials, chocolate, graham crackers, and marshmallows combining for a flavor that tastes just like our favorite childhood treat.
Let’s move on to something savory with a slice of the Smokehouse Pizza!
For the Smokehouse Pizza, you can order an entire pizza for $20.99 or by the slice for $9.79.
The pizza is topped with house-smoked brisket.
It also features sausage and pepperoni.
Again, our MickeyBlogger Melissa said that this pizza was another win! The slice you get is huge (it’s almost the size of two slices.)
Melissa said that the toppings were cooked perfectly and were well seasoned.
The brisket was the MVP of this pizza slice.
We also need a big round of applause for the cast members! Melissa watched them prepare and trim the brisket for the pizza topping which is no easy task.
The end result was melt-in-your-mouth and flavorful.
The sausage and pepperoni were good but it is the brisket that elevates!
Melissa confidently recommends this treat and said that she’ll definitely be stopping back again!
For those curious about plant-based options our MickeyBlogger Melissa also tried the new Veggie Burger on the recently revamped Trail’s End menu.
The vegetable patty comes topped with balsamic onions.
It is served on a brioche bun.
It also comes topped with lettuce and tomatoes and a side of French Fries.
The burger retails for $11.99.
Melissa, who is not a vegetarian was very impressed with this burger.
Melissa said that she typically eats meat burgers but that the veggie version was more delicious than most beef burgers she’s had!
Again this new Trail’s End treat gets another big thumbs up from us!
Have room for dessert? We sure did!
We thought we’d end our Trail’s End Meal with the PB&J cupcake.
The PB & J Cupcake retails for $5.79.
The cupcake gets a pass from us.
Everything else we sampled on the menu was a huge win. The cupcake however was just “ok.”
Melissa said that the peanut butter frosting is the dominant flavor.
The cupcake itself was pretty dry and really crumbly.
Inside the cupcake was jelly filling.
Melissa felt that with the dryness of the cupcake there just wasn’t enough jelly filling which was a bit of a disappointment.
We’ll leave with a look at the new Fort Wilderness Trail’s End menus.
The interior of the restaurant has also been completely revamped and is filled with lots of incredible rustic touches.
In addition to the changes at Trail’s End, Crockett’s Tavern which neighbors the eatery also has an updated cocktail and light-bites menu.
