‘Haunted Mansion’ Premiere Will Take Place In Spite Of Potential SAG-AFTRA Strike
Despite a potential SAG-AFTRA strike looming, Disney’s red carpet premiere for Haunted Mansion will go ahead as scheduled on July 15 at Disneyland.
The film currently has the first major world premiere set to take place after the strike deadline. While the event will be held regardless of whether or not the strike is called, the nature of Haunted Mansion’s premiere could change drastically.

A Possible “Fan Event”
According to inside sources, in the event of a strike, the premiere will pivot to a “fan event.”
The star-studded cast of Haunted Mansion includes LaKeith Stanfield, Tiffany Haddish, Danny DeVito, Rosario Dawson, Chase W. Dillon, Daniel Levy, Jamie Lee Curtis, Hasan Minhaj, Marilu Henner, and Lindsay Lamb, who would not be able to attend if a strike is called.

What remains unclear is whether or not director Justin Simien, composer Kris Bowers, producers Dan Lin and Jonathan Eirich, and executive producers Nick Reynold and Tom Peitzman would still attend the premiere.
Whether SAG goes on strike or not, Disneyland is still expected to host 2,000 guests for the Haunted Mansion premiere. The festivities will begin and 5 p.m. PT with a pre-reception featuring food and drinks. The screening will then take place at the Hyperion Theater at 7 p.m. PT.
