‘The Little Mermaid’ Gets Digital and Blu-Ray Release Dates
Disney’s live-action remake of The Little Mermaid charmed audiences and let a generation of fans relive their childhood.
If you enjoyed the film in theaters and can’t wait to watch it again, I have great news! Disney’s latest-live action remake will be heading to digital platforms on July 25!
At that time, you will be able to purchase the film on Amazon, Vudu, Apple, and Google, and travel under the sea with Ariel and her friends!
The film will subsequently be released on physical media formats including 4K Ultra HD, Blue-Ray, and DVD on September 19.
What About Disney+?
Interestingly, Disney has not announced when The Little Mermaid will land on Disney+. This seems to follow the release strategy of recent Disney films including Avatar: The Way of Water and Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania.
By creating a window where the film has to be purchased before it is available on streaming, Disney is hoping to maximize its profits, and in the case of The Little Mermaid, likely offset some of the costs of the film.
