Recently Restored Classic Animated Shorts Debut on Disney+ Starting Tomorrow!
We’ve got some very exciting news for Disney enthusiasts. The Walt Disney Company has announced that as part of its 100th Anniversary Celebration, it will be releasing a series of shorts on Disney+ that have been restored. The short films will be unveiled in groups starting tomorrow and through October 6, 2023.
The list of shorts that made the cut has been released and we’re excited to pass on these details to you. The first batch of shorts will be released TOMORROW- July 7, 2023. Disney took to Twitter to give us the rundown which you can check out below:

Restored Shorts Coming to Disney+ on July 7, 2023
- Aquamania (1961)- Goofy decides to try out waterskiing and accidentally winds up competing with the best in a championship event. In classic Goofy style, things go off the rails quite quickly and his misadventures include a run-in with an octopus, a ride on a roller coaster, and more!
- Building a Building (1933) – Mickey is a steam shovel operator on a busy construction site. Minnie sells box lunches on the site and Pete is Mickey’s foreman. After Pete makes advances toward Minnie it is up to Mickey to come to the rescue and a chase ensues through the construction site.
- Figaro and Franke (1947) – Figaro is trying to take a nap but Frankie the canary has a song to sing. An argument between the two pets ensues and Minnie mistakenly thinks Figaro has eaten Frankie. In the end though it Figaro that saves Franke from impending doom.
- Goofy Gymnastics (1949) – Goofy buys some gymnastics equipment to get in shape. But things don’t go according to plan and Goofy manages to wreck his floors, gets flung around the rooms and eventually even falls out the window. But with the pain comes gain and Goofy is excited to show of his new muscular figure.
- The Skeleton Dance (1929) – Join a group of skeletons who come out to dance the night away! The film is set to the music of Edvard Grieg and features animation from the legendary Ub Iwerks’
