Where to Watch 4th of July Fireworks in Disney World
If you’re in Disney World for the July 4th holiday, you may be wondering what your options are for fireworks! After all, fireworks kind of go hand-in-hand with the 4th of July in the U.S.
There are two ways to catch special fireworks shows in Disney World for Independence Day, and here’s what you need to know.
Magic Kingdom
In Magic Kingdom, you can catch Disney’s Celebrate America! — a Fourth of July Concert in the Sky on July 3rd and 4th at 9:20PM (weather permitting).
This show includes fireworks, special patriotic music, red-white-and-blue projection displays on Cinderella Castle, and more, and it will take the place of Happily Ever After during those two evenings.
People will most likely start setting up to watch the fireworks early in the day (if allowed by Cast Members), and we suggest researching where you want to see them. You can click here to see some of the best spots in Magic Kingdom for fireworks!
Other good places to view fireworks include Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort and Disney’s Contemporary Resort, but we were informed that these resorts are only allowing hotel guests access to viewing areas on the 3rd and 4th. In fact, guests may be required to obtain wristbands before being allowed access to said viewing areas.
This is common practice during holidays, so keep that in mind if you’re not staying at either of those hotels. Note that parking is also restricted to hotel guests and people with dining reservations for now.
EPCOT
Over in EPCOT, you have one opportunity to watch a special showing of EPCOT Forever featuring the 4th of July Heartbeat of Freedom Grand Finale at 9PM on July 4th. This show will include the usual EPCOT Forever pyrotechnics with the addition of the patriotic finale.
And just like in Magic Kingdom, prime viewing areas will probably be reserved early in the day. You can click here to see the best spots to watch fireworks in EPCOT.
Another fun touch of patriotism in EPCOT involves Spaceship Earth, which adopts a special red-white-and-blue look. Just look how beautiful!

This show begins at sundown with Spaceship Earth displaying red and white strips with blue lights and white stars on the top.
Where You WON’T Find Fireworks in Disney World
Note that there are NO fireworks in Disney Springs, Animal Kingdom, or Disney’s Hollywood Studios. In the past, we’ve observed guests visiting different parks assuming that there would be a 4th of July fireworks display, only to find out that there’s no show.
In fact, Disney now has signs around Disney Springs reminding guests that there is no fireworks display.
So if you’re looking for July 4th fireworks in Disney World, head over to Magic Kingdom on July 3rd or 4th, or EPCOT on the 4th!
