We ATE a 4th of July Top Hat in Disney World. Yes, Really!
Did you know that Disney World celebrates the 4th of July in all kinds of festive ways?
From limited-time treats to fireworks to special events, there’s a lot to do in celebration of Independence Day in Disney World right now. And now we’re trying to eat a…top hat??
Patriotic Top Hat
We visited Le Petit Cafe at Disney’s Riviera Resort to give a new 4th of July treat a try, and it just so happens to be…a top hat.
The Patriotic Top Hat is made with vanilla bean cheesecake with morello cherries on a Riviera brownie, and it’s available until July 4th for $9.99.
We thought this treat was super cute and very patriotic! The red and white stripes plus the blue band look great together, especially in photos.
It surprisingly held up well in the sun, with the top hat staying intact and not melting all over us, like so many treats do in the Florida heat.
Inside the treat, the vanilla was really tasty and reminded us more of ice cream than cheesecake and we also enjoyed the cherry in the center. As a bonus, this treat wasn’t nearly as messy as we expected it to be!
The two layers of brownie were a nice addition too; very dense and delicious.
It was kind of heavy for a random treat in the middle of the day, but it could make a really fun after-dinner dessert — especially on the 4th of July!
You can get to Disney’s Riviera Resort by riding the Disney Skyliner or you can take a bus from a park to the hotel. This treat is only available through July 4th, so don’t wait too long to give it a try!
