Indiana Jones and Dial of Destiny Has Strong Thursday
Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny managed to uncover $7.2 million in previews at the North American box office
The number was a solid start for the fifth and final installment in the Indiana Jones franchise. The film is heading towards a $65 million opening weekend, a good number for the action-adventure film.

In fact, Dial of Destiny’s preview haul was on par with Fast X ($7.5 million) and ahead of Mission: Impossible- Fallout ($6 million).
The problem for Disney, is the extraordinary cost of making the latest Indiana Jones adventure. The film had an astronomical $295 million budget. That number does not take the film’s marketing into account. The film premiered at the Cannes International Film Festival.
One Last Adventure
Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny sees Harrison Ford don his iconic fedora for one last adventure.
Although on the cusp of retiring from his teaching position, Jones sets off on another adventure when his goddaughter Helena Shaw (Phoebe Waller-Bridges) brings his attention to an artificial that could change the course of history.

In true Indiana Jones fashion however, Indy must contend with a former Nazi, played by Mads Mikkelsen, who is also on the hunt for the elusive dial.
Indiana Jones 5 was produced by Kathleen Kennedy, Frank Marshall and Simon Emanuel. Steven Spielberg and George Lucas served as executive produces. The film was scored by John Williams, who has scored every Indiana Jones film in the series.
