Welcome everyone, to the MickeyBlog photo report for Disneyland Paris Pride 2023!
This awesome event took place this past Saturday 17th July, and your MickeyBlogger here was lucky enough to attend. It was a fantastic event filled with so much to see, do, and dance to, and I wanted to take you along to join in the fun.
Keep reading to see our photos of the night, and read more about what we got up to!
Arrival
The party took place at the Walt Disney Studios Park, officially starting at 8pm.
The eager crowds formed in anticipation much earlier than this of course, but spirits were high, and flags were waving!
For this event, guests were given the rare permission to dress up in costume if they wanted. With it being Pride, we weren’t surprised to see so much color, flags, glitter, and more all throughout the night – as well as some awesome full character costumes guests had made, too!

Stepping into Studio 1 on our way into the park, it was immediately apparent that the party had begun.
The ground was completely covered in a bold rainbow carpet, with epic disco lights sparkling across every surface!
I will say, that at the point I snapped the above photo, ABBA’s “Dancing Queen” was blaring out from the speakers. Welcome to Pride!
Disneyland Paris Pride Opening Celebration

Immediately after entering the park, most guests went straight to gather in Production Courtyard, where a huge stage had been erected especially for the event. The first event on the agenda was the official opening ceremony, which took place at 8.30pm.
And wow, what an opening ceremony it was! Think music, dancers, characters, bubbles… and lots of rainbow confetti shooting from cannons!

The ceremony was hosted by Disneyland Paris Ambassadors Carmen and Quentin, who were joined by Mickey and all his friends.

You can see from the photos that Mickey was wearing his super-suave Pride outfit, consisting of a white blazer, with vibrant pops of rainbow color!

Another famous face who came out onto the stage during the welcome celebration was Calum Scott – a headline act for the evening’s entertainment.
When he came on he was asked how he felt, and replied he was “rather nervous” at seeing so many people!

Unfortunately, due to a “technical difficulty,” Calum did not actually end up performing at the Pride event. His delayed slot was canceled late into the night, with no further explanation provided to guests.

Although we didn’t know this at the time, it was nice for Calum to be featured in the opening celebration – the only one of the four headliners to do so. He was looking awesome in his plum-colored suit, and definitely seemed excited to join everyone at Pride!

After more dancing, more characters, and even more rainbow streamers, the opening ceremony had come to a close. Pride had officially begun, and we couldn’t wait for the next event!

What a way to start a night!

Parade
Immediately after the ceremony had wrapped, it was time for the annual Disneyland Paris Pride parade to begin. Cue another round of “Around the World” on repeat, and let’s get ready to dance!
Unfortunately, due to the short parade route and high crowd levels, we weren’t able to see much of the parade at all. However, the whole thing was live-streamed on two giant screens at either side of the stage, so we didn’t have to miss much!

If you’ve not yet heard the absolute bop that is “Around the World” – the official soundtrack for Disneyland Paris Pride – I’d urge you go an listen to it now. It’s sure to get everyone up and dancing, and we never tired of hearing it on Saturday night!

The parade began beside the Animagique Theater, curved around the central Partner Statue, and ended at the back of Production Courtyard, in front of the stage.

It was made up of choreographed Cast Members, each bearing ribbons, flags, and banners in every color of the rainbow!

The Disneyland Paris Ambassadors also joined the parade, along with headline acts Jenifer, Bianca Costa, and Calum Scott again.

Mickey and Minnie also rode proudly in the parade, waving at guests and blowing kisses!
The back of their car kind of looks like a rainbow Spaceship Earth to me – can anyone else see that?
Although we didn’t see much of the parade, we sure did have a fantastic time dancing our way through it. Now, on to enjoying the rest of the night!

Performance – Bianca Costa
Time for the music!
The first performer to take to the stage was the beautiful Brazilian popstar Bianca Costa, who blasted onto the stage before nightfall to really start the party.
Wearing a funky golden bodysuit complete with bright green feathers and a golden cowboy hat, Bianca definitely got the memo to dress to impress tonight! Her set was filled with lights, smoke effects, and amazing beats that filled Production Courtyard perfectly.
As the night was still young at this point, fewer people than expected seemed to gather in front of the stage.

However, Bianca’s vibrant tunes influenced by samba, bossa nova, and urban pop sounds all complimented the vibe of the night perfectly, and her set was certainly an enjoyable one to watch!

Merchandise
Interestingly, only three pieces of merchandise were featured for this year’s Disneyland Paris Pride event – a logo t-shirt, a fan, and a tumbler. Yes, the vast array of vibrant designs from the international 2023 Disney Pride collection were available in the stores across Disneyland Paris, but it was just this simple black t-shirt that was unique to the event.
We snapped these photos inside Les Legends d’Hollywood store, located inside the Front Lot. The top, tumbler, and fan could also be purchased at various pop-up spots around the park, but it seemed to be this store which really drew the crowds!
Marshmallow Cupcake
As with merchandise, there were very few special snacks available for guests to enjoy during the night. We decided to grab the Pride Cupcake to try, which we purchased from Stark Factory.
Peep Iron Man in the background of the photo!
This cupcake was a simple vanilla flavor, filled with strawberry and topped with a thick marshmallow. The top was coated in white chocolate, and decorated cutely for Pride.
This was simple, yet tasty, there wasn’t much to it. If there are any UK-based readers out there to get the reference, I will say that this was just like eating a cupcake-based Tunnock’s Tea Cake!
Activities

As well as the incredible entertainment offerings – not to mention all the dancing in-between – there were plenty of other activities for guests to enjoy throughout the night.
Studio 1 was definitely where the party was at, with characters including Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Daisy all stopping by for a bop and some selfies. As you can see above, Donald really was strutting his stuff on the rainbow carpet!
Other characters meeting and greeting around the park included Stitch, Edna Mode, members of The Avengers, and more.
For this year’s Pride, Disneyland Paris had partnered with EDF and Rhinoshield, with both companies each offering their own unique experiences for guests to interact with. Above, you can see my husband and I taking a selfie on the Rhinoshield wall, but other fun things included competitions, free mystery tattoo booths, a photo wall, and more!
As well as all this, all the rides in the park were also open for guests to experience late into the night. We were lucky enough to ride the epic Spider-Man W.E.B Adventure ride twice with no wait, plus Ratatouille: The Adventure, and more!

Performance – Christophe Willem
Now, who’s up for some more music?
The second awesome act to take to the Production Courtyard stage was Christophe Willem. This incredible French singer took to the stage with a bang, and his set was absolutely incredible!
I did think it was funny to be celebrating so much joy and fun with a sight so sinister as the Hollywood Tower Hotel looming in the background. However, you can see from our photos that the park lit the attraction up spectacularly, and it fit with the vibe to a tee!
Christophe blessed guests with a great array of tunes both upbeat and romantic, and really had the crowd dancing along.
His band were also phenomenal, and really engaged the crowd as the night drew late!
Even after Christophe had left the stage, the crowds still felt electric as they waited for the next act. Unfortunately, there was quite a delay here due to the aforementioned “technical difficulties,” but spirits remained high throughout!
Then, shortly after midnight, it was the final headliner’s turn to take to the stage!
Performance – Jenifer
Jenifer’s set was certainly the most popular of the night, with crowds filling the entirety of Production Courtyard to dance along to her music.
The French pop sensation made us laugh, dance, and even shed a tear at one point with her spectacular set – which even had security Cast Members dancing along on the sidelines!
Interestingly, Jenifer was sporting a Honda jacket for the duration of her show, which she had gorgeously glammed-up with that spectacular glitter eye makeup.
What a queen!
Following Jenifer’s set, a dance party begun in Production Courtyard, lasting deep into the night before the event wrapped up at 2am.
