Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride Closing for 2nd Refurbishment in July
This is an interesting time for Disneyland’s Fantasyland, as several attractions have recently closed, only to reopen, and (soon) close yet again. Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride will shut down for a 2nd refurbishment in July.
Alice in Wonderland
This makes two Fantasyland attractions closing and reopening on two separate occasions. Today, Alice in Wonderland and Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride reopened after closing on June 5.
Peter Pan’s Flight also shut its doors that day, but won’t reopen until June 30. Alice in Wonderland has a 2nd refurbishment scheduled next month.
The ride will close from July 5 through July 20, reopening once again on July 21. Now, Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride is following suit!
Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride
Disney journalist Scott Gustin recently tweeted the news. In the post, he reports that Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride “will close again on July 24, to allow for the second half of refurbishment work to be completed.”
He goes on to say that according to Brady MacDonald, it’s scheduled to reopen again on August 11. Currently, Disneyland’s website only lists the closing date and advises Guests to check back for updates.
That being said, according to a recent article from The Orange County Register, “Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride will close again July 24-Aug. 10.” We hope this helps you plan accordingly if you’re thinking about visiting the Happiest Place on Earth this summer!
Mr. Toad Popcorn Bucket
Did you know that a popcorn bucket featuring Mr. Toad and his motorcar is coming soon to Disneyland? It heads to the Park on June 20 in celebration of the attraction’s reopening today!
You’ll find it at the Fantasyland and ‘it’s a small world’ popcorn carts. The limit is two per person, per transaction, with no applicable discounts.
If you’re a fan of Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride, be advised that although it reopened today, it will be closing for a 2nd refurbishment in July.
