Disney’s official description of the Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island Tour is as follows:
“The Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island itinerary for Adventures by Disney was created for families wishing to discover the beautiful coastal regions of eastern Canada,” said Bernadette Johnston-Peck, program development manager. “The outdoor adventures, exploration of historic sites, and learnings from the indigenous Mi’kmaq people are sure to become an unforgettable part of our guests’ life stories. We look forward to welcoming families to Eastern Canada’s Maritimes!”
Begin Your Adventure in Nova Scotia
Nova Scotia is located on the east coast of Canada and is almost completely surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean. It is also home to three national parks and you’re sure to be smitten with the magnificent ocean and lush landscapes!
One of the first stops on your tour of Nova Scotia is Sugar Moon Farm where you’ll have a chance to sample authentic maple syrup. You’ll also learn about the process of bringing this treat from tree to table.
The Beauty and Charm of Prince Edward Island
Guests on the Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island tour will embark on a picturesque ferry ride to Prince Edward Island located in the Gulf of St. Lawrence. Here you’ll find endless beaches and will be able to soak in that fresh sea air. Local guides will be on hand to take you on a tour of Wood Island’s Lighthouse which was built in 1876. You’ll also learn about the area’s sea life and sea glass!
Junior Adventurers will have a chance to make their very own kit before testing out their skills in a kite flying activity on the shore.

As you head back to the mainland, you’ll stop at the Confederation Bridge. Here you’ll witness a magnificent display of Canadian engineering before a boat cruise takes you out onto the waters of Shediac Bay. Here you’ll meet an expert in lobstering and learn about sustainable and responsible fishing practices. You’ll even enjoy lunch while onboard.
Next, it’s off to the Bay of Funday where, when the tide is out, you’ll be able to enjoy a privately guided tour of the ocean floor and hear stories about Hopewell Rocks Park. While at Hopewell Rocks, there will be a variety of activities to choose from including kayaking, horseback riding, canoeing, and more! Then you can watch as the tide comes back in as you enjoy sunset and a star-filled sky!
Let’s Explore Halifax
Once you’ve arrived back in Halifax it’s off to the Millbrook Cultural Center. Here you’ll learn about the Mi’kmaq people, their traditions and ceremonies, and the significance of the Talking Stick. You’ll even be able to select your own stick to take home and personalize it with accessories including beads, paint, and feathers.
On the final day of the tour, guests will visit the Trans-Canada Trail and hike along the renovated railway trail. The day also includes sailing on a 130-foot schooner called the M/S Silva. This ship was built in the 1930s and will sail through Halifax Harbour offering stunning views of historical landmarks and beautiful scenery. The day ends with a farewell dinner at an 1800s warehouse converted into a nautical-themed pub. Celtic entertainment and authentic cuisine will end the tour on a high note.
