How to Save BIG on Merchandise at Walt Disney World Right Now!
You can always rely on MickeyBlog and MickeyTravels to keep you posted on great deals, offers, and tips to help save money during Disney trips.
Today, we wanted to share an especially great hack we’ve discovered that’ll help guests save big on must-have Disney merchandise, so keep reading to see what we’ve learned!
Now it’s no secret that the merchandise sold within the Disney Parks can be a bit on the pricy side. So, it’s rather exciting to see those small red labels pop up next to merchandise displays, advising guests of any “Limited Time Bonus!” discounts applicable to the goods on offer!
Often, the signage will advertise offers such as percentage discounts, lower price changes, or multibuy promotions. Each offer is a fantastic bit of money-saving magic in itself… however, we’re here today to let you know it’s possible to get even more money off that ticket!
What we want you to do is start properly reading the small print on the cards. And yes, I know right – who reads small print? We do, and here’s why:
The line of note here is where the print says “additional discounts apply.” What this means, is that shoppers are permitted to stack any other discount offer they have on top of the current promotion, leading to even bigger savings.
Here’s a current example of such magic:
This backpack – part of the Pixar Summer Splash collection of accessories – is currently marked down for 30% off its original price. As the ticket value was $88, this discount would knock the cost down to just below $62.
A great saving, it’s true. But, we can do one better!
As you can see from the screengrab above, our savvy MickeyBloggers added their Annual Passholder discount to the transaction too, meaning the price dropped even further to an awesome $43.12.
How cool!
So, if you have any other discount offers, make sure you stack them!
These would include discounts given to Cast Members, Disney Vacation Club members, Disney VISA cardholders, and others. If you’ve got ’em, use ’em!
One important thing to note, however, is that this hack is not going to work on every promotion. If an offer doesn’t explicitly state those magic words (“additional discounts apply”), then you will not be entitled to add further discounts.
As always, be sure to read that small print before making a purchase, and plan accordingly!
We hope this smart insight will help you save big on future merch purchases at Walt Disney World, and that it has inspired you to be on the lookout for more of those wonderful red offer signs.
You never know where they’ll pop up next, so keep an eye out, and get those deals!
