Connections Eatery at EPCOT Gets Two New Menu Items
Our MickeyBloggers are at EPCOT this morning and popped by Connections Eatery for lunch where two new items have been added to menu! Find out what they thought of the new Connections Eatery California Burger and Margherita Pizza.
Disney shared a first look at the new Connections Eatery menu items on social media. You can check out the Margherita Pizza and Plant-based Burger below!
Let’s start with the Margherita Pizza! For $11.29 you get two slices of Freshly Baked Pizza.
The pizza is topped with San Marzano Tomato-Basil Sauce.
Note the Roma Tomatoes on top!
The pizza also features Mozzarella and Roma Tomatoes.
The Margherita Pizzas got a thumbs down from our MickeyBloggers.
This dish could’ve used a bit more time in the pizza oven. The crust was missing much-needed crispiness making the Margherita Pizza seem undercooked.
Our MickeyBlogger Kayla also said that the tomatoes were not very flavorful and again, just came across as soggy.
With other awesome pizza spots both in the World Showcase and at Boardwalk Inn, we hope the Margherita Pizza at Connections Eatery gets a bit of a glow-up!
Next up is the California Burger.
It’s nice to see a new option for those on a plant-based diet. It features a Plant-based Burger.
A brioche bun is used for the California Burger.
The burger is topped with lettuce, tomato, and avocado.
Plant-based Dijon Mayonnaise adds an extra bit of flavor. The California Burger retails for $12.99.
Our MickeyBlogger Kayla said that the burger is “OK.”
Again the plant-based patty was lacking in flavor.
Kayla said that the dominant flavor was avocado with a hint of Dijo.
Again, the burger seemed a bit undercooked and was a bit too squishy for our liking. We would’ve enjoyed a crispier bun or some coleslaw to bring a bit of crispy texture and added flavor.
So overall, the new menu items at Connections Eatery at EPCOT are a bit of a mixed bag. We are glad to see a larger array of options on the menu at Connections but think a bit more flavor would go a long way with both the Margherita Pizza and the California Burger.
